"This Is How a Heart Breaks" was released in June 2005 as the second single from Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas's debut album, …Something to Be. The song was moderately successful on the charts, peaking at number 52 in the United States and number 13 in Australia. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 copies, and in 2006, it was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo.
Chris Brown is the self-titled debut studio album by American singer Chris Brown. It was released on November 29, 2005, by Jive Records. Receiving generally positive reviews from critics, the album was a commercial success. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart. It has been certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold over three million copies worldwide. The album also earned Brown his first two Grammy Award nominations for Best New Artist and Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 49th Grammy Awards.
Toto is the debut studio album by the American band Toto. It was released in 1978 and includes the hit singles "Hold the Line", "I'll Supply the Love" and "Georgy Porgy", all three of which made it into the Top 50 in the USA. "Hold the Line" spent six weeks in the Top 10, and reached Number 14 in the UK as well. Although not initially very well received by critics, the band quickly gained a following, and the album gained a reputation for its characteristic sound, mixing soft pop with both synth- and hard-rock elements. The band would venture deeper into hard rock territory on their next album.

Nothing but the Best is a 2008 compilation album by American singer Frank Sinatra. All the tracks on this album are recordings made when Sinatra was on his own Reprise label, thus the first track, "Come Fly with Me" is not the 1957 Capitol version. In 2007, a 1998 video of "The 12 Days of Christmas", went viral with over 8 million views and subsequently led to a five-album record deal with Atlantic Records in 2008. The YouTube video has been viewed over 24 million times.

Recorded during the sessions for his solo album McCartney II (1980), it was released in November 1979 following Wings' final album Back to the Egg earlier that year. It was McCartney's first solo single since Wings formed. The Andy Williams Christmas Album is the first Christmas holiday album released by singer Andy Williams and his twelfth studio album overall. It was issued by Columbia Records in 1963, and it would prove to be the first of eight Christmas albums released by Williams. Though it was also the album that introduced Williams' perennial holiday classic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", Columbia instead opted to release Williams' cover of "White Christmas" as the album's promotional single at the time.

The Way We Were: Original Soundtrack Recording is the soundtrack album to the film of the same name by American singer Barbra Streisand. It was released by Columbia Records on January 1, 1974. The soundtrack comprises twelve songs, mostly written by Marvin Hamlisch, three of which are different versions of "The Way We Were". The album was mostly produced by Fred Salem, with the exception of the title track which was produced by Marty Paich. Hamlisch and Salem collaborated to create five new songs for the soundtrack, while the remaining ones are cover songs.
