Christopher Tolofua (born 31 December 1993) is a French rugby union player who currently plays for Montpellier. His regular playing position is Hooker.
Tolofua made his debut for Toulouse against Connacht in Hcup. He was called as a cover for Gary Botha and Akvsenti Giorgadze who were ruled out due to injury. He was called up from Toulouse's junior side. He was part of the French national academy. [1]
On 31 August 2016, Tolofua agreed to join English club Saracens in the Aviva Premiership on a two-year contract from the 2017-18 season. [2] On 30 October 2018, Tolofua returns to France to join Top 14 side Toulon on a three-year deal from the 2019-20 season. [3]
Tolofua made his Test debut for France against Argentina (in Cordoba) on 16 June 2012, coming off the bench.
Tolofua is a native of Wallis and Futuna. Tolofua is the older brother of Selevasio Tolofua, who plays with Toulon as a back row.
Richard Cockerill is an English rugby union coach and former player and since January 2024 has been the Head Coach of the Georgian National Rugby Team. Prior to this he was the manager of Top 14 side Montpellier. He was the England national team's interim head coach between Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick. He played as a hooker, spending the majority of his career at Leicester Tigers where he played 255 games over two spells, he won 27 caps for England and was included in the 1999 Rugby World Cup squad. He won five league titles, two European Cups and two domestic cups as a player.
