CineEurope (formerly Cinema Expo International) is the longest running European trade show and convention for the cinema industry. Organised by Prometheus Global Media Film Group Expo and jointly since 2015 with the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), CineEurope combines the official annual convention of the latter trade association representing cinema exhibitors and their national associations, and a trade show featuring product and film presentations, and screenings of select feature films. Johan van der Keuken was a Dutch documentary filmmaker, author, and photographer. In a career that spanned 42 years, Van der Keuken produced 55 documentary films, six of which won eight awards. He also wrote nine books on photography and films, his field of interest. For all his efforts, he received seven awards for his life work, and one other for photography.

KunstRAI is an annual art fair for modern and contemporary art held in spring or early summer at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. 4DX is a 4D film presentation system developed by CJ 4DPlex, a subsidiary of South Korean cinema chain CJ CGV. It allows films to be augmented with various practical effects, including motion-seats, wind, strobelights, simulated snow, and scents. First debuted in 2009, it presents films in both stereoscopic 3D and monoscopic 2D formats.

The European Film Award for Best Documentary or Prix Arte has been awarded annually since 1989 by the European Film Academy. Special Mentions were presented alongside the winner of the award until 1993, since 1999 a set of nominees are presented out of which a winner is chosen.

WTC Expo is a complex of conference and exhibition halls belonging to the World Trade Center in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. It is the largest convention center of the province of Friesland.
