Clayton Bartolo (born 2 June 1987) is a Maltese Partit Laburista (Labour Party) politician and the Minister for Tourism in Prime Minister Robert Abela's cabinet in early 2020. [1]
He was elected as a member of the Parliament of Malta in June 2017. [2]
The politics of Malta takes place within a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic republic,whereby the President of Malta is the constitutional head of state. Executive Authority is vested in the President of Malta with the general direction and control of the Government of Malta remaining with the Prime Minister of Malta who is the head of government and the cabinet. The Labour Party won a majority following a snap election which was held on 3 June 2017. Parliament was dissolved on 20 February 2022 and the date of the election was set to 26 March 2022.
