Connor Colby (born January 16, 2003) is an American football offensive guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Colby attended John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was a three-time letterwinner in football. [1] He rated as a four-star recruit and held offers from schools such as Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. [2] Ultimately, Colby committed to play college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. [3]
As a freshman, Colby earned a spot in the starting lineup in the fourth game of the season. From 2021 to 2024, he appeared in 54 games, making 50 starts at left guard, right guard, and right tackle. [1] [4] [5] Colby was also named third team all Big-Ten in 2023, and first team all Big-Ten in 2024. [6] [7]
Robert J. Gallery is an American former professional football player who was an offensive guard who played for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Iowa and received unanimous All-American recognition. He was selected with the second overall pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2004 NFL draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks.
Kirk James Ferentz is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at the University of Iowa, a position he has held since the 1999 season. From 1990 to 1992, Ferentz was the head football coach at the University of Maine. He was also an assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). Ferentz played college football as a linebacker at the University of Connecticut from 1974 to 1976. Since 2017, he has been the longest tenured FBS coach with one program. The ImOn Ice Arena is a 3,850-seat multipurpose arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium. The arena opened on January 8, 2000, and is owned by the city of Cedar Rapids. It is home to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League as well as several local youth hockey teams. The University of Iowa Hawkeyes club hockey team plays some of their home games at the facility. The arena contains separate sheets of ice for ice hockey games and for public and figure ice skating. ImOn Communications purchased naming rights to the arena from the city through 2024.

Raymond Robert Nagel was an American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He was the head football coach at the University of Utah from 1958 to 1965 and the University of Iowa from 1966 to 1970, compiling a career college football coaching record of 58–71–3 (.455). Marvin McNutt, Jr. is an American former professional football wide receiver and current wide receivers coach at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes, where he became the all-time leader in receiving touchdowns and yardage. He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL draft. McNutt was also the head coach of the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the 2017 season, and the general manager in 2018.
Willis Allen "Bill" Glassgow graduated from Shenandoah Iowa high school. Willis was an American football player and attorney. He played halfback for the University of Iowa from 1927 to 1929, was selected as a first-team All-American in 1929, and received the 1929 Chicago Tribune Silver Football as the best football player in the Big Ten Conference. He played two seasons of professional football in the National Football League for the Portsmouth Spartans in 1930 and the Chicago Cardinals in 1931. He practiced law in Iowa from 1933 to 1959, including two terms as the Page County Attorney (1935–1939) and three terms as the Linn County Attorney (1951–1957).
