Kurtis Rourke (born October 25, 2000) is a Canadian American football quarterback who plays for the Indiana Hoosiers. He previously played for the Ohio Bobcats football team.
Rourke was the starting quarterback for the Ohio Bobcats football team. After redshirting in 2019, he shared time at quarterback with Armani Rogers in 2020 and 2021. He was named MAC student athlete of the week on October 27, 2021, and September 27, 2023. [1] [2] As the starting quarterback for the Bobcats in 2022, he was MAC East offensive player of the week three times during the 2022 season. The first time came in week one of the after passing for 308 yards and four touchdowns against Florida Atlantic. [3] He won the award again in week 4 after passing for a school record 537 yards against Fordham, and also in week 10 with 317 yards and five touchdown passes against Buffalo. [4] After throwing for 3,256 yards and 25 touchdowns, Rourke suffered a season ending torn ACL in the eleventh game of the season against Ball State. [5] [6] In spite of missing the last game and a half of the regular season, he won the 2022 Vern Smith Leadership Award for MAC Player of the Year. [7]
Prior to the 2023 season, he was included on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award, [8] [9] Davey O'Brien Award, [10] [11] Walter Camp Award, [12] [13] Manning Award, [14] [15] and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. [16] [17] and finished the regular season as second team all-MAC. [18] [19] He entered the transfer portal on December 5, 2023. [20]
On December 14, 2023, Rourke announced that he would be transferring to Indiana. [21] On November 30, 2024, Rourke tied a school record with 6 passing touchdowns in a 66–0 victory over Purdue. [22] In 12 games for the Hoosiers, Rourke logged 3,042 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. On January 3, 2025, it was announced that Rourke had played the entire season on a torn ACL in his right knee, and would undergo surgery to repair the injury. [23]

He was born to Larry and Robyn Rourke. [24] Rourke's older brother Nathan Rourke, who preceded Kurtis as Ohio's starting quarterback, is a professional quarterback who plays for the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). [25] [26]

Rourke is a Christian. He has said, “My identity is in Jesus and not my sport. I may have a bad practice, may have a bad throw, but knowing that, no matter what, Jesus is proud of me. He’s proud that I’m there and my goal every day [is] to work to glorify Him.” [27]
Keith Wenning is a former American football quarterback. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played college football at Ball State.

The 2022 MAC Championship Game was a college football conference championship game played December 3, 2022, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. It was the 26th edition of the MAC Football Championship Game and determined the champion of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) for the 2022 season. The game began at 12:00 p.m. EST and aired on ESPN. The game featured the Western Division champion Toledo Rockets against the Eastern Division champion Ohio Bobcats. The 2023 Mid-American Conference football season was the 78th season for the Mid-American Conference (MAC), as part of the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Non-conference play began with one game on August 26. Conference play began on September 23 and concluded with the MAC championship game on Saturday, December 2 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Miami won the East division with a 7-1 conference record with their only loss coming against Toledo. Toledo won the West with a perfect conference record. Their quarterback Dequan Finn won Player of the Year and coach Jason Candle won coach of the year. On October 21, during the regular season game between the division winners, Miami quarterback Brett Gabbert suffered a season ending leg injury. In spite of that, Miami won their first MAC Championship since 2019 with a 23–14 upset victory in the MAC Championship Game.
