Evan Anderson (born February 14, 2002) is an American professional football defensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida Atlantic Owls.

College career

During Anderson's four-year career from 2020 to 2023, he played in 39 games, where he notched 146 tackles with 21 being for a loss, seven sacks, two pass deflections, and three fumble recoveries. [1] [2] [3] [4]

After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Anderson signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. [7] [8] He was also selected by the Memphis Showboats in the third round of the 2024 UFL draft on July 17. [9] However, on August 27, 2024, Anderson was released but signed to the team's practice squad the following day. [10] [11] On September 28, Anderson was elevated to the team's active roster ahead of their week four matchup versus the New England Patriots. [12] [13]
