The University of Buckingham (UB) is a non-profit private university in Buckingham, England and the oldest of the country's five private universities. It was founded as the University College at Buckingham (UCB) in 1973, admitting its first students in 1976. It was granted university status by royal charter in 1983. Buckingham offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorates through five "schools" of study.
PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art, originally Performing Arts Journal, is a triannual academic journal of the arts that was established in 1976 by Gautam Dasgupta and Bonnie Marranca, who still is the editor-in-chief. It has taken a particular interest in contemporary performance art and features expanded coverage in video, drama, dance, installations, media, and music and publishes essays, interviews and artists' writings, reviews of new exhibitions, performances, and books, and also plays and performance texts from the United States and elsewhere. The journal is published by MIT Press. PAJ Publications, the journal's book division, regularly publishes plays and essay collections on theater and performance.
Isis is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the University of Chicago Press. It covers the history of science, history of medicine, and the history of technology, as well as their cultural influences. It contains original research articles and extensive book reviews and review essays. Furthermore, sections devoted to one particular topic are published in each issue in open access. These sections consist of the Focus section, the Viewpoint section and the Second Look section.
Historical Studies in the Natural Sciences is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the University of California Press on behalf of the Office for History of Science and Technology. It was established as Chymia in 1948, being published under than name until 1967 when it temporarily ceased publication. It resumed under Historical Studies in the Physical Sciences in 1969, renaming itself Historical Studies in the Physical and Biological Sciences in 1986 under John L. Heilbron, an acquiring its current name in 2008.
Historical Records of Australian Science is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal covering the history of science in Australia and the south-west Pacific and published by CSIRO Publishing on behalf of the Australian Academy of Science. It was established in 1966 as an irregular publication with the title Records of the Australian Academy of Science, obtaining its current name in 1980. The Journal of Religion and Health (JORH) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed academic journal. The journal was founded in 1961 by the Blanton-Peale Institute and published by Springer Science+Business Media. JORH seeks to publish contemporary religious, pastoral and spiritual care research which utilizes current medical, psychological and sociological theories and praxis.
