Corbin Watson (born January 6, 1987) is a Canadian Paralympic ice sledge hockey goalkeeper.
He was a member of team Canada who defeated Norway and won a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics. [1]
Previously, he participated at the 2013 IPC World Sledge Hockey Championships where he and his team won a gold medal. An amputee, he lost his lower right leg following a car crash in 2006. Following the accident he joined Canadian sledge hockey team called Windsor Ice Bullets two years later in Windsor, Ontario where he was inspired by Ray Grassi, his teammate. In 2009 he won a gold medal at the Défi sportif tournament. [2]
He is a son of Alex and Joan Watson, and has a brother and a sister. In June 2013 he was awarded with the key to Kingsville for his performance at the 2013 IPC World Sledge Hockey Championship. [3] He is inspired by Canadian hockey players such as Martin Brodeur and Miikka Kiprusoff. [4]
Sledge hockey, also known as Sled hockey in American English, and Para ice hockey in international competition, is an adaptation of ice hockey for players who have a physical disability. The sport was invented in the early 1960s at a rehabilitation centre in Stockholm, Sweden, and played under similar rules to standard ice hockey. Players are seated on sleds and use special hockey sticks with metal "teeth" on the tips of their handles to navigate the ice. Playing venues use an ice hockey rink.
Para ice hockey at the Winter Paralympics has been held since the 1994 Winter Paralympics, when it was known as ice sledge hockey.
Todd Nicholson, is a Canadian former ice sledge hockey player. He was a member of the 2010 Paralympic Sledge Ice Hockey team, which were the fourth Paralympic games that Nicholson participated in. He announced his retirement from the Canadian ice sledge hockey team on September 7, 2010. Nicholson now serves on the International Paralympic Committee Governing Board as the Athletes' Representative.
Joshua Pauls is an ice sled hockey player from USA and Member of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. He took part in the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver, where USA won gold. They beat Japan 2–0 in the final.

Graeme Murray is a Canadian ice sledge hockey player. He contracted a virus when he was three, which spread to his spinal cord, causing paralysis.

Yu Man-gyun is a South Korean sledge hockey goalkeeper who used to be a wheelchair basketball player. During his career, he scored 2.66 goals and did .815 percentage of saves. In 2013, his save percentage was .894 despite the fact that his team lost 5–2 to Canada at the 2013 World Sledge Hockey Challenge. In 2012, he won silver medal at the 2012 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships which was hosted at Hamar, Norway. The tournament is an invitational format to bring four of the strongest ice sledge hockey teams together for international competition.
The Canada women's national ice sledge hockey team is the national team representing Canada in women's international sledge hockey. The team competed at the IPC International Cup and now competes at the Para Ice Hockey Women's World Challenge. The team currently receives funding from the Hockey Canada Foundation through grants which enables it to run a grassroots development program.
