Cowan High School, also known as Cowan Junior/Senior High School, is located in Cowan, Indiana in Southern Delaware County in east central Indiana.
Donald Arthur Mattingly is an American professional baseball coach, and former first baseman and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the bench coach for the Toronto Blue Jays of MLB. Nicknamed "the Hit Man" and "Donnie Baseball", he spent his entire 14-year MLB playing career with the New York Yankees and later managed the Los Angeles Dodgers for five years and the Miami Marlins for seven years.
Joshua Gibson Booty is an American former professional baseball and football player. Booty played briefly in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a third baseman, and also in the National Football League (NFL) as a quarterback. He played college football for the LSU Tigers.
Timothy Paul Stoddard is an American former professional baseball pitcher. A right-handed pitcher, he played for six different teams in Major League Baseball between 1975 and 1989, and was a member of the 1983 Baltimore Orioles championship team. He is currently the pitching coach for the baseball team at North Central College. Stoddard is one of only two men to have played in both a World Series and a Final Four of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, along with fellow East Chicago Washington High School alumnus Kenny Lofton.
William Albert Sampen is a former professional baseball player who pitched in the Major Leagues from 1990-1994. Sampen owns an instructional baseball program in Brownsburg known as "Samp's Hack Shack.” In 2016, Sampen founded the Indiana Expos youth travel baseball program. The Expos have become one of the most well respected, fastest growing youth travel baseball programs in the state of Indiana for boys ages 13-17.

He played college football for the Purdue Boilermakers, where he won the Ray Guy Award and was recognized as a consensus All-American. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft.
Ray Michael McCallum Sr. is an American college basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for Tulane. He previously served as the head coach for the men's basketball team at the University of Houston and the University of Detroit Mercy. He is also a former player and head coach of Ball State University. From 2016 to 2018 McCallum served as assistant coach at Georgia State. Previously, he also served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma and Indiana.

He played as an outfielder for the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Montreal Expos, and Los Angeles Dodgers of the Major League Baseball (MLB). He also played seven seasons of baseball in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and Nankai Hawks.
