Craig Lee Brackins (born October 9, 1987) is an American former professional basketball player.
Brackins played collegiately for the Iowa State Cyclones. [1] A power forward, Brackins was the highest-touted recruit to choose Iowa State after spending time at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. In March 2009, Brackins was predicted to be a first-round draft pick in the 2009 NBA draft. He was picked by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 21st overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. He was immediately traded to the New Orleans Hornets, and he was later traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. [2]
Craig Brackins rose to national prominence following a game in January, 2009 against Kansas in which he scored 42 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, despite Iowa State losing 82–67 to the Jayhawks. [3]
Brackins scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 96–55 blowout of Mississippi Valley State on November 22, 2009. He declared himself eligible for the 2010 NBA draft on March 12, 2010. [4]
He was drafted with the 21st pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder at the 2010 NBA draft in June. On July 8, 2010, he was traded, along with fellow rookie Quincy Pondexter, to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for the rights to Cole Aldrich and Morris Peterson. [5]
On September 23, 2010, he was again traded, along with Darius Songaila, to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Willie Green and Jason Smith. [6] [7]
On November 30, 2010, Brackins was assigned to the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League. [8] In 5 games with the Armor, Brackins averaged 17.2 points and 8.6 rebounds. [9] On December 12, 2010, he was recalled to the 76ers. [10] He was sent back to Springfield on January 15, 2011, [11] then recalled by the 76ers on February 7, 2011. [12] He was sent back for another stint with the Armor on March 24, 2011. [13]
In August 2011, Brackins signed with Maccabi Ashdod B.C. of Israel due to the 2011 NBA lockout. [14] His contract expired in November, 2011. [15]
In February 2012, Brackins was assigned to the Maine Red Claws. [16] He was recalled on March 2, 2012. [17]
On July 5, 2012, the Boston Celtics announced that Brackins was added to their roster for the 2012 Orlando Pro Summer League and the 2012 NBA Summer League. [18]
Brackins signed with Angelico Biella of Italy later that summer. [19] He left Angelico in December 2012.
On March 13, 2013, he was acquired by the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-League. [20] [21]

William Julius Green is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played professionally in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic. Cedric Simmons is an American-born Bulgarian professional basketball player for SeaHorses Mikawa in the Japanese B.League. He was born in the United States, but also holds Bulgarian citizenship, and has played for the senior men's Bulgarian national basketball team. Quincy Coe Pondexter is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is an assistant coach for the USC Trojans men's team. He played high school basketball in Fresno, California, at San Joaquin Memorial High School. Pondexter played four years of college basketball for the Washington Huskies. At the end of his senior season, he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press.
Makafan Solomon Alabi is a Nigerian former professional basketball player. He moved to the United States at the age of 17 to attend Montverde Academy. Alabi played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles where he was a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Defensive team selection in both his freshman and sophomore years. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 50th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft and played two seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Toronto Raptors. The New Orleans Pelicans are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team commenced play in 2002 after the NBA granted founder George Shinn an expansion franchise to play in New Orleans. The Pelicans' establishment was unusual compared to most modern expansion teams in that New Orleans' roster was not stocked through an expansion draft. Instead, Shinn transferred the entire basketball organization of his former team, the Charlotte Hornets, to his new franchise.

The draft lottery took place on May 7, 2014. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the draft lottery to earn the first overall pick in the draft; this is the fourth number-one pick for Cleveland since 2003 and third number-one pick over a four-year span from 2011 to 2014. This draft would also be the first for the reborn Charlotte Hornets, who played as the Bobcats from 2004 to 2014, since 2001, when the original Charlotte Hornets last selected as the Charlotte Hornets before moving to New Orleans and eventually becoming the current New Orleans Pelicans.

Ty Jeremy Jerome is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers, where in 2019 he was the starting point guard on their national championship team. Jerome was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2019 NBA draft but was traded to the Phoenix Suns.
