Craig Brian Wishart (born 9 January 1974) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer,who played Tests and ODIs for 10 years. He played domestic cricket for Mashonaland and Midlands as well as the Zimbabwean national team.
He was later self-employed in Zimbabwe and played social cricket there.
Wishart made his Test debut in 1995 in Harare. He has a Test record batting score of 114,with a 22.40 batting average,and a one-day record batting score of 172 not out,achieved against Namibia in the 2003 Cricket World Cup, [1] the sixth highest in World Cup history and the highest scored by a Zimbabwean player in ODIs. Wishart retired in 2005,citing "stress from the problems in local cricket",and was one of many senior internationals to announce their retirements in protest against the local governing body's controversial decisions during the early 2000s. [4]
The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup was the eighth Cricket World Cup,organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by South Africa,Zimbabwe and Kenya from 9 February to 23 March 2003. This edition of the World Cup was the first to be played in Africa. One Day International (ODI) is a format of Cricket,played between two teams with international status,in which each team faces a fixed number of fifty overs,with the game lasting up to 7 hours. The Cricket World Cup,generally held every four years,is played in this format. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A,limited-overs competition.
Matthew Lawrence Hayden is an Australian cricket commentator and former cricketer. His career spanned fifteen years. Hayden was a powerful and aggressive left-handed opening batsman who,along with opening partners Justin Langer and Adam Gilchrist,contributed heavily to Australia's success during its "golden era" (2000–2008) in Test and ODI cricket respectively. He holds the record of highest individual score by an Australian batsman in Tests,having scored 380 against Zimbabwe during Zimbabwe's 2003 tour of Australia. This stands as the second-highest individual score in test cricket. It is the highest score by an opening batsman in Tests,though infamously he never faced the opening ball in Tests with Langer,always batting at No2. Hayden was a member of the Australian team that won both the 2003 Cricket World Cup,and the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
Andrew Flower is a Zimbabwean cricket coach and a former cricketer. As a cricketer,he captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team and is widely regarded as the greatest Zimbabwean cricketer ever and one of the greatest wicket-keeper-batters of all time. He was Zimbabwe's wicket-keeper for more than 10 years and is,statistically,the greatest batsman the country has produced. His highest score in ODI cricket which was his 145 he made against India in the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy is also the highest score made by a Zimbabwe player at any tournaments. During his peak from October to December 2001,Flower was ranked as the best Test batsman in the world. He was widely acknowledged as the only Zimbabwe batsman of proper test quality in any conditions. After retirement,he served as the coach of the English cricket team from 2009 to 2014. Under his coaching,England won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Flower became the second foreign coach in the team's history. Currently,he is the head coach of Trent Rockets in The Hundred and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

Later the same month,Williams captained Zimbabwe for the first time,in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series,against Nepal.

The 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament that took place during March 2018 in Zimbabwe. It formed the final part of the Cricket World Cup qualification process for the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales. The top two teams,Afghanistan national cricket team and the West Indies,qualified for the World Cup,joining the hosts and the seven teams who had already qualified through their ranking in the ICC ODI Championship. Afghanistan won the tournament,beating the West Indies by 7 wickets in the final. Afghanistan’s Mohommad Shahzad was named the player of the match and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza was named the player of the tournament.
