Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a coeducational, Catholic, college preparatory school and a member of the Cristo Rey Network that follows the work-study model of education. The first criterion for admission is financial need, and the school is designed for students who cannot otherwise afford a college prep education. [1]

The school is located in the Pleasant Grove area of Southeast Dallas at 1064 N. St. Augustine, the former site of St. Augustine Catholic School. [2]

It is a part of the Cristo Rey Network of 38 schools throughout the United States and is under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth. The first Cristo Rey School was established in 1996 in Chicago, Illinois. In conjunction with local businesses, the students' education is subsidized through the work-study model used by schools in the Cristo Rey Network, of which it is a member.
