John Horn High School is the newest high school opened in the Mesquite Independent School District. It is named after the former superintendent Dr. John D. Horn.
The school opened in 2000 with only 9th and 10th grade classes. The enrollment in that first school year was approximately 550. In the 2006-2007 school year its enrollment was over 2,000 students. Ronnie Pardun was the first principal of the school succeeded by the current principal, Bruce Perkins. [4]
For the 1st time, Horn’s marching band advanced to the UIL State Marching Contest in 2018, in which they placed 22nd, making it the 2nd school in Mesquite to participate in the UIL State Marching competition. [5]

North Mesquite High School is a secondary school in Mesquite, Texas and a part of the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD). As of 2023, the school serves northern portions of Mesquite bounded by US 80 to the south and I-635 to the east in addition to the area bounded by Galloway Avenue, I-635, and I-30. Formerly, North Mesquite served all of Sunnyvale before the completion of Sunnyvale High School, leaving the class of 2010 the last North Mesquite class catering to Sunnyvale students. North Mesquite also formerly served the MISD portion of Garland before redistricting. This area is now served by Poteet High School.

Thomas C. Clark High School is a public high school, in the Northside Independent School District, in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Built in 1978 with five main buildings surrounding a courtyard, this school has over 120 classrooms and is one of the largest schools in NISD. As with all Northside ISD schools, Clark is named for a former or current United States Supreme Court Justice, in this case Thomas C. Clark.

Judson High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Converse, Texas, United States, 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. It was established in 1959 as part of the Judson Independent School District, and is currently classified as a 6A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Judson High School is the second oldest International Baccalaureate World School in Texas, since 1985. The school and the District were named after Moses Campbell Judson, who served on the Bexar County School Board from 1918 to 1939. His nephew Jack Judson was on the board when the decision was made to name the new rural high school Judson.
Smithson Valley High School is a public high school located in unincorporated Comal County, Texas, and is classified as a 5A school by the UIL. Its student enrollment as of the beginning of the 2022-23 school year is 2,310. Smithson Valley’s student enrollment reached as high as 2,584 in the 2021-22 school year before some students were sent off to the brand-new and recently opened Pieper High School after the 2021-22 school year which was built to deal with the growing population of the school’s attendance zone and to provide relief to Smithson Valley’s attendence roster
