Cycling competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held July 10 to 25, 2015 at four different venues. [1] The BMX competitions took place at the Centennial Park Pan Am BMX Centre in Toronto, the mountain biking competitions happened at the Hardwood Ski and Bike (Hardwood Mountain Bike Park) in Oro-Medonte, due to naming rights the venue was known as the latter for the duration of the games. [2] The road races happened in the streets of Downtown Toronto with the start and finish being adjacent to the Ontario Place West Channel. Finally the track cycling events occurred at the Milton Velodrome in Milton. The road cycling time trials happened in the streets surrounding the velodrome (Milton Time Trial Course). [3]

A total of 24 countries qualified athletes. The number of athletes a nation entered is in parentheses beside the name of the country.

Qualification

A total of 228 cyclists qualified to compete at the games (146 in road and track combined, 36 in mountain biking and 38 in BMX). A nation was able to enter at most 24 athletes (16 among road and track cycling, four in mountain biking and four in BMX). The host nation (Canada) automatically entered a full team of 24 athletes (14 male and 10 female). [5]

Due to naming rights the arena was as the latter for the duration of the games. A total of fifteen weightlifting events were held: eight for men and seven for women.

Rugby sevens at the 2015 Pan American Games will be held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from July 11 to 12. The rugby sevens competition was held at BMO Field, although due to naming rights, the venue was known as Exhibition Stadium for the duration of the games. This will be the second time that the men's competition will be held, following rugby sevens' debut at the 2011 Games, with women's rugby sevens making its debut. A total of eight men's and six women's teams competed in each respective tournament.

Squash competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto will be held from July 11 to 17. The venue for the competitions was Direct Energy Centre, due to naming rights the venue were known as the latter for the duration of the games. The venue also staged the racquetball. A total of six events will be contested.

Water polo competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto was held from July 7 to 15 at the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham. The water polo competitions was the first sporting event to be conducted at the games, beginning three days before the opening ceremony. This is because the Pan American Games were scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, thus the competition was moved forward to allow for a sufficient gap between the two events. A total of eight men's and women's teams competed in each respective tournament.

Karate competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada were held from July 23 to 25 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Due to naming rights the arena was known as the latter for the duration of the games. The competition was held under the kumite discipline, with men and women each competing in five events each. A total of 80 athletes from 14 nations took part.

Baseball competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto was held from July 11 to 26 at the Pan Am Ball Park, in Ajax, Ontario.

Triathlon competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 12 at the Ontario Place West Channel.
