D. Satya Prakash is an Indian filmmaker in Kannada cinema. His works often focus on social issues and human relationships. His debut film was Rama Rama Re... (2016), which is followed by Ondalla Eradalla (2018). His latest venture is Man of the Match (2022). Before making commercial films, Prakash directed the short film Jayanagara 4th block. [1]
For Rama Rama Re..., Prakash received the Karnataka State Film Award for Director's First Time Best Film. Ondalla Eradalla won two awards at the 66th National Film Awards including the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. [2]
Prakash was selected as one of 20 "changemakers" by Deccan Herald in 2020 for being "one of the important filmmakers in Kannada today". [3]
D Satya Prakash was born in Kaduru, Chikmagalur district, Karnataka to K C Dattatari, a businessman, and Geetha, a homemaker. He completed schooling in Kaduru, Hassan, and Bangalore.
After completing his Diploma in Computer Sciences from DVS Polytechnic College Shimoga. He shifted to Bangalore to pursue his interest in cricket. He was a part of league level matches and sports events.
Prakash worked as assistant director with T. S. Nagabharana, assisting on films including Nam Yajamanru starring Dr.Vishnuvardhan, and Kamsale Kaisale . During his five years of internship he collaborated with V. Manohar, music director for writing lyrics and was involved in dialogue writing for various scripts as well.
Jayanagara 4th Block is a story revolving around the friendship between an actor, a florist, and a retired school teacher. It explores the beauty of relationships among strangers and their journey of rediscovering happiness in an inanimate place 4th Block Jayanagar. This was an experimental film highlighting the existence of pure intentions in a society that’s misunderstood. The script was written by the lead actor Dhananjaya; screenplay and direction were by Prakash. Rama Rama Re... was Satya Prakash's debut commercial film. Released on 21 October 2016, it was written and directed by Satya Prakash. It is a story of a convict on death row. The film was remade in Telugu in 2018 as Aatagadaraa Siva by Rockline Venkatesh. [4]
Ondalla Eradalla is about a seven-year-old boy Sameera and his pet cow Banu. The journey of the boy in search of his lost cow, while traveling through city and meeting new people with selfish intentions on the pretext of helping. The film tries to explore the complexities of human nature and qualities such as innocence and empathy masked by selfishness. As the story unfolds, it also unveils the positive thoughts within negatively portrayed people. [2]
Man of the Match (film) [5] is D. Satya Prakash's latest venture. It has been produced jointly by PRK Productions, [6] the company of Kannada Superstar, Puneeth Rajkumar, in collaboration with Satya and Mayura Pictures. The movie follows A Director who calls for an audition and makes a movie out of it by creating conflicts between the artists who attended the audition.

Jayanagara is an affluent mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood in Bengaluru, India. It is one of the zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. It is sub-divided into seven wards.
Puneeth Rajkumar, affectionately known as Appu, was an Indian actor, playback singer, film producer, television presenter and philanthropist who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of legendary actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.

Hudugaru is a 2011 Kannada-language drama film directed by K. Madesh, starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Srinagar Kitty, Yogesh and Radhika Pandit in the lead roles. Rama Rama Re... was released on 21 October 2016. The film was remade in Telugu in 2018 as Aatagadharaa Siva by Rockline Venkatesh. The film is currently being remade in Marathi.

Production of the film started in February, the lead actor Rohith Pandavpura a young boy from Pandavapura was selected out of the 1500 kids auditioned for the film.

Man of the Match is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language satire black comedy written and directed by D. Satya Prakash. Movie produced under PRK Productions banner. The film stars Nataraj S. Bhat, Dharmanna Kadooru, Atharva Prakash, Mayuri Nataraj, Shridatta, Brunda vikram. Satya Prakash uses a film-within-a-film narrative where the main actors play fictionalised versions of themselves. Frustrated over the fact that his acting career not taking off, Nataraj decides to produce a film with his actor friend Dharmanna. The day of auditions in a huge studio provides more drama and surprises than expected, as Nataraj has something different on his mind.
