DKFXP is the name of a musical collaboration between Franky Perez (FXP), of Scars on Broadway, and Dave Kushner (DK), of Velvet Revolver. To date, three songs by the duo have been released, for free download via the Franky Perez website, while one was reworked by Kushner and used for the film Hisss , featuring vocals and lyrics by Shruti Haasan. History

Formation (2009present)

On June 20, 2009, Scars on Broadway guitarist and solo artist Franky Perez announced, via MySpace, that he was in the studio collaborating with Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner. [2] [3] On September 19, announced through his blog on Myspace, Franky released the song Party Of One, available to download from his website along with a code to use to download the song. In October, Franky stated on his Twitter account that he and Kushner were jamming with Weezer bassist Scott Shriner and Scars on Broadway bandmate and former System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan. [4] On November 16, another songs, titled The Collapse, was made available to download. On December 1, Franky listed all the songs that had been released for free previously, as well as the codes to download them, including the song Beyond the Wire which was previously only available to US troops serving in the war.

In 2010, Kushner announced that he removed the vocals and "messed around" with the song "Beyond the Wire", giving it the new title of "Beyond the Snake". The song appears at the end credits of the film Hisss , [5] as well as the film soundtrack, featuring vocals and lyrics by Shruti Haasan. [1] [6] Four tracks by both Perez and Kushner will also appear in the film Hamill. [5]

Electric Love Hogs were a short-lived American funk rock band formed in San Diego, California in 1991. The band's lineup consisted of John Feldmann, Dave Kushner (guitar), Donni Campion (guitar), Kelly LeMieux (bass) and Bobby Hewitt. They released one self-titled album in 1992, followed by a tour of the United States and United Kingdom, before they disbanded the following year.

"This Life" is the theme song for the FX television series Sons of Anarchy, written by singer-songwriter Curtis Stigers, Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner, record producer Bob Thiele Jr. and show creator Kurt Sutter while it was performed by Curtis Stigers & The Forest Rangers.

Deadland Ritual was a British–American hard rock supergroup band originally formed in Los Angeles in 2018, the band is a supergroup composed of vocalist Franky Perez (Apocalyptica), guitarist Steve Stevens, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Matt Sorum. Originally formed by Sorum, the group took shape with the addition of Perez and Stevens, and was finalised once Butler agreed to complete the lineup. Deadland Ritual released its first single, "Down in Flames", in December 2018.

Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress, composer and playback singer who works in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada films. Haasan sang her first song aged just six in her father's Thevar Magan, a composition of Ilaiyaraaja. While in school, Haasan made her singing debut in the Hindi language film Chachi 420, which was directed by her father. Haasan sang the bilingual versions of the title theme "Rama Rama" with her father, in Hindi and in Tamil, for the film Hey Ram. The album from Ilaiyaraaja, which was critically praised, won Haasan accolades for her efforts with Screen India saying that she "has the makings of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns."
