The discography of Velvet Revolver, an American hard rock band, consists of two studio albums, one extended play (EP), 11 singles (nine as lead artist, two as featured artist), two video albums and eight music videos. Velvet Revolver was a supergroup formed in Rancho Santa Margarita, California in 2002 by former Guns N' Roses members Slash (lead guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums), along with rhythm guitarist Dave Kushner (formerly of Wasted Youth) and late vocalist Scott Weiland (formerly and subsequently of Stone Temple Pilots). [1]

The band signed with RCA Records the next year and released its debut album Contraband in 2004, [1] which topped the US Billboard 200 and has since sold over 4 million copies in the US. [2] [3] The album was supported by the release of four singles, including "Slither" which topped the Billboard Alternative Songs and Mainstream Rock charts. [4] [5] In 2005 the group contributed the song "Come On, Come In" to the Fantastic Four soundtrack, which was also released as a single and reached number 14 on the Mainstream Rock chart. [5] The band also performed on a recording of "Tears in Heaven" released to benefit victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. [6]

Velvet Revolver returned in 2007 with Libertad . [1] The band's second album reached number five on the Billboard 200, and was certified gold in Canada and silver in the UK. [2] [7] [8] Lead single "She Builds Quick Machines" reached the top 20 of the Alternative Songs chart and number two on the Mainstream Rock chart. [4] [5] Weiland departed the band in April 2008, before RCA dropped the group later in the year. [9] In 2010, Slash, McKagan and Sorum (credited as Velvet Revolver) were featured on Macy Gray's single "Kissed It". [10] The band has since released two live video albums: Live in Houston in 2010 and Let It Roll: Live in Germany in 2012. [11] [12]

Libertad is the second and final studio album by American hard rock band Velvet Revolver, released on July 3, 2007. The name is Spanish and translates to "Liberty" or "freedom" in English. According to a 2007 interview with Rolling Stone, along with the Stone Temple Pilots albums Core and the self-titled 2010 album, Libertad is one of only three albums lead singer Scott Weiland wrote while sober.

The discography of American indie pop band Fun consists of two studio albums, seven extended plays, 11 singles and seven music videos. Following the split of his previous band The Format, lead singer Nate Ruess formed Fun in 2008 with musicians Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff, both of whom had previously toured with The Format. Fun began recording sessions for their debut album in September 2008 and embarked on a North American tour the following month. In May 2009, they issued their debut single, "At Least I'm Not as Sad ". Aim and Ignite, the band's first full-length album, was released by Nettwerk Records on August 25, 2009, and peaked at number 71 on the United States Billboard 200 chart. The album produced an additional two singles, "All the Pretty Girls" and "Walking the Dog", which were then followed by the release of the single "C'mon", a collaboration with American alternative rock band Panic! at the Disco.
