Express bus service

Daewoo Express Bus Service is the main operation of the company. The company provides long-distance time-efficient bus services to all major cities within Pakistan. With its headquarters in Lahore, the company operates its service from 31 cities in Pakistan, covering more than 40 destinations extending almost to the entire Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. The service provides direct competition against airlines as well as the rail network. There is also a shuttle/drop off service that runs off the main express buses to allow passengers hassle-free travel to their neighbourhood. Recently,[ when? ] Daewoo shifted its routes From Lahore and Islamabad to Karachi via Motorway M-5.

Cab service

Daewoo Pakistan started its cab service in Lahore and Rawalpindi in May 2014, essentially as an affordable cab service to facilitate Daewoo Express bus passengers only. With a fleet of over 200 vehicles, Daewoo Cab now provides point-to-point and inter-city cab service in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Sialkot, Swat, Sukkur, Karachi and Quetta. [3] During the summer season, it also operates from the northern regions of Pakistan.

Daewoo City Bus was the first environmental and technological revolution in the urban transport sector within Pakistan. The buses were introduced with more advanced and powerful engines with TECHO monitoring systems in 1999. Air conditioning, announcement system and stopping signals were introduced. Since 1998, the city bus service has operated four routes within the city covering all the localities while one suburban route operated for Sheikhupura.

Cargo service

Daewoo Express's cargo and courier service namely Daewoo Fastex ( Official website ) is set up adjacent to all terminals and functions 24 hours a day, providing safe and quick dispatch and delivery of cargo consignments to terminals and homes. The cargo volume has over the years been increasing more rapidly than the expansions of the bus passenger operations.

The 2011–12 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the eighth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by Faysal Bank. The season was to begin in the final week of September in Lahore but due to an outbreak of dengue fever, the tournament was shifted to Karachi. The winning team received ₨ 2.5 million as prize money, while the runners-up received ₨ 1 million.

The 2012–13 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the ninth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, which was held from 1 to 9 December 2012. This was also the last edition of the tournament, which was replaced with the Pakistan Super League.

The 2005–06 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the second season of the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by ABN AMRO. It was held in Karachi from 24 February to 4 March 2006. This edition featured an expanded format, with an increase from 19 to 39 matches and from 11 to 13 teams; the new teams being the Islamabad Leopards and the Abbottabad Rhinos. The Sialkot Stallions won the tournament by defeating the defending champions the Faisalabad Wolves in the final.

The 2006–07 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the third season of the ABN AMRO Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by ABN AMRO. It was held in Karachi from 21 to 26 December 2006. The tournament was reduced to a shorter format similar to the 2004–05 edition with 18 matches. The Sialkot Stallions successfully defended the title by defeating the Karachi Dolphins in the final.

The 2009 RBS Twenty-20 Cup was the fifth season of the RBS Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by RBS. It was held in Lahore from 25 to 29 May 2009. The Sialkot Stallions won their fourth overall and consecutive title by defeating the Lahore Lions in the final.

The Lahore Metrobus is a bus rapid transit service operating in Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore Metrobus service is integrated with Lahore Transport Company's local bus service to operate as one urban transport system, providing seamless transit service across Lahore District with connections to neighboring suburban communities. The Lahore Metrobus was designed to be opened in stages, with the first stage opening on 11 February 2013 stretching from Gajumata to Shahadra. The 27 km stretch was opened during a ceremony by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif along with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bekir Bozdağ. The second and third stages have been put on hold, as proposals have been put forth to convert the remaining stages to light rail.

The 2012–13 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was one of two first-class domestic cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2012–13 season. It was the 55th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and was contested by fourteen teams representing regional cricket associations. It was preceded in the schedule by the President's Trophy, which was contested by ten departmental teams.

<i>Akbar Express</i>

The Akbar Express is a passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Quetta and Lahore. The trip takes approximately 23 hours and 30 minutes to cover a published distance of 1,225 kilometres (761 mi), traveling along the Rohri–Chaman Railway Line, Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line, Khanewal–Wazirabad Branch Line and the Shahdara Bagh–Sangla Hill Branch Line. Akbar express is the only train which connects Faisalabad with Quetta.
