Dagamtenga, also spelt Dagemtenga, [1] is a commune in the Dialgaye Department of Kouritenga Province in the Centre-Est region of Burkina Faso. It had a population of 2,393 in 2006. [2] [3]
Dialgaye is a department of Kouritenga Province in eastern Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Dialgaye. According to the 2006 census the department has a total population of 36,893.
Kouritenga, sometimes spelt Kourittenga, is one of the 45 provinces of Burkina Faso, located in its Centre-Est Region. In 2006 the province had a population of 330,342. Its capital is Koupéla.
Centre-Est is one of Burkina Faso's 13 administrative regions. The population of Centre-Est was 1,132,023 in 2006. The region's capital is Tenkodogo. Three provinces—Boulgou, Koulpélogo, and Kouritenga, make up the region.
In the 2006 census, one of Dagamtenga's neighbourhoods, Guetenga, also spelt Guitanga, [4] was listed as a separate settlement with a population of 300, with Dagamtenga's population as 2,093. This would give the combined Dagamtenga-Guitanga settlement a total population of 2,393 in 2006. This population division differs from the divisions in the neighbourhood data, however the total population of all of the neighbourhoods also comes to 2,393.
