Dan Brooks (born June 25, 1951) is a former American football coach and player.
Brooks played as a defensive lineman for Appalachian State University from 1969 to 1972, before transferring to Western Carolina University in 1973.
From 2009 to 2016 he served as the defensive tackles coach for Clemson University. [1] During the 2016 season, Brooks was named AFCA Division I FBS Assistant Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association. [2] After the 2016 season, he retired from being a college football coach. [3]
Edward James Orgeron Jr. is an American football coach. He was most recently the head football coach at Louisiana State University (LSU), a position he held from midway through the 2016 season until the 2021 season. Orgeron previously served as the head football coach at the University of Mississippi from 2005 to 2007 and was the interim head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013. He led the 2019 LSU Tigers football team to a national championship, beating the defending champions Clemson in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship.
Richard Llewellyn Brooks is a retired American football player and coach. He was the head coach at the University of Oregon from 1977 to 1994, the National Football League (NFL)'s St. Louis Rams from 1995 to 1996, and the University of Kentucky from 2003 to 2009.
Johnny Chavis, nicknamed "The Chief", is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). He previously served as defensive coordinator for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team and former defensive coordinator, linebacker coach, and associate head coach at the Tennessee Volunteers football, LSU Tigers football, and Texas A&M Aggies football programs.
Eugene C. Chizik Jr. is an American football coach who was most recently the defensive coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for Defense at North Carolina. A veteran of the coaching ranks, Chizik previously was UNC's defensive coordinator for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, and served as the head coach of the Auburn football team from 2009 until the end of the 2012 season. Chizik's 2010 Auburn Tigers football team completed a 14–0 season with a victory over Oregon in the BCS National Championship Game, and quarterback Cam Newton won the Heisman Trophy. Chizik played college football at the University of Florida in 1981 for head coach Charley Pell.
Nicholas Eason is an American football coach and former defensive end who is currently the defensive tackles coach and run game coordinator at Clemson University. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns.

Thomas Brent Venables is an American college football coach who is the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma, a position he has held since the 2022 season. Venables served as the associate head coach, defensive coordinator, and linebackers coach at Clemson University from 2012 to 2021. He was awarded the Broyles Award in 2016.
The 1981 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 1981 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Tigers were led by head coach Danny Ford and played their home games in Memorial Stadium. Clemson finished their undefeated 1981 season with a 22–15 victory over the #4 Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 1982 Orange Bowl, and were voted #1 in the Associated Press (AP) and United Press International (UPI) polls.
The AFCA Coach of the Year Award is given annually to college football coaches by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Separate awards are presented at all levels of U.S. college football. The AFCA as a whole presents the award for the four divisions of NCAA football—Division I FBS, Division I FCS, Division II, and Division III—plus the NAIA. The AFCA's section for community and junior colleges presents an identical award to a head coach at a two-year institution. The award has had several different sponsors over the years, including Eastman Kodak Corporation, and thus also been named the Kodak Coach of the Year Award.
George Michael MacIntyre is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at FIU. MacIntyre previously served as the head football coach at San Jose State from 2010 to 2012 and at Colorado from 2013 to 2018.
Luke Joseph Fickell is an American football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers. Previously he was the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati, a position he held from 2016 through November 2022. Fickell played college football as a nose guard at Ohio State University from 1993 to 1996 and then was an assistant coach for the Buckeyes. He was interim head coach at Ohio State for the entire 2011 season.
Mark Speir is an American football coach. He is the senior assistant to the head coach at Appalachian State University. Speir served as the head football coach at Western Carolina University from 2012 to 2021, compiling record of 33–68. He was released from his duties on April 9, 2021. Speir previously served as an assistant coach at Western Carolina, Presbyterian College, Elon University, University of Louisville, and the University of Cincinnati.

Jim Ryan is an American former college football coach. He served as the head football coach at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee from 2016 to 2019 compiling a record of 16–24. Ryan coached at Washington University in St. Louis from 2008 to 2015, the last four in which he was the defensive coordinator, and at Illinois College from 2003 to 2007. In 2015, Ryan was named the AFCA Division III Assistant Coach of the Year. He was interim head coach at Colorado College in 2003 where he also served as defensive coordinator during the 2002 season. He was an assistant coach at the University of North Alabama, Delta State University, and Fort Lewis College.
Daniel Arthur Lanning is an American football coach at the University of Oregon. He was previously the defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach at the University of Georgia from 2019 to 2021.

Ryan Carter is an American football coach and former cornerback, who is currently a defensive graduate assistant on the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff. He played college football at Clemson, including as a starting cornerback on the Tigers’ 2016 national championship team. In 2018, he signed with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League as an undrafted free agent out of college. From 2019–2021, he played cornerback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 2022, he joined his former Clemson defensive coordinator and current Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables' inaugural Sooners coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
