The government of Argentina, within the framework of a federal system, is a presidential representative democratic republic. The President of Argentina is both head of state and head of government. Executive power is exercised by the President. Legislative power is vested in the National Congress. The Judiciary is independent from the Executive and from the Legislature, and is vested in the Supreme Court and the lower national tribunals.

He had earlier served as Vice-President of Argentina from 1995 to 1999, with Carlos Menem, and as his Interior Minister during his first administration. He was twice elected to the National Assembly following the restoration of democratic rule.
Hermes Juan Binner was an Argentine physician and politician who served as Governor of Santa Fe from 2007 to 2011. Binner was the first Socialist to become the governor of an Argentine province, and the first non-Peronist to rule Santa Fe since 1983.
Felipe Solá is an Argentine agricultural engineer and politician. He previously served as Governor of Buenos Aires Province, from 2002 to 2007, and as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship under President Alberto Fernández, from 2019 to 2021.

María Laura Leguizamón is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. She was a National Senator for Buenos Aires Province from 2011 to 2017 and for the City of Buenos Aires from 2003 to 2007. She also served in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and in the Buenos Aires City Legislature.
Sergio Tomás Massa is an Argentine politician currently serving as the country's Minister of Economy since 3 August 2022. From 2019 to 2022, he served as the President of the Chamber of Deputies, while also holding the position of National Deputy for the centre-left political coalition Frente de Todos, elected in Buenos Aires Province.

Martín Sabbatella is an Argentine politician and leader of the New Encounter party. From 1999 to 2009, he was intendente (mayor) of Morón, a partido in the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area. He was also a member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2009 to 2013, and director of the Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services from 2012 to 2015. Since 2020, Sabbatella has been the chairman of the Matanza–Riachuelo Basin Authority (ACUMAR).
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 27 October 2013. Open primary elections (PASO) were previously held on 11 August 2013 to determine eligible party lists for the general election. As in 2011 – when such primaries were held for the first time – each party list had to reach a 1.5% threshold at the provincial level in order to proceed to the 27 October polls.
Máximo Carlos Kirchner is an Argentine politician who has served as a National Deputy since 2015. He is the son of two former presidents of Argentina, Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the latter of which is currently service as the vice president of Argentina. A member of the Justicialist Party, he is the co-founder of La Cámpora, a political youth organisation which supported the presidencies of his parents.

Balestrini held a number of important posts throughout his career: he served as Vice Governor of Buenos Aires Province under Daniel Scioli from 2007 to 2010, as President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2005 to 2007, and as intendente (mayor) of La Matanza from 1999 to 2005.

Juan Facundo Moyano is an Argentine trade unionist and politician. A member of the Party of Culture, Education and Labour (CET), Moyano was a National Deputy for Buenos Aires Province from 2011 to 2021.
Jorge Emilio Sarghini is an Argentine economist and politician. Historically a member of the Justicialist Party, Sarghini has served in a number of political posts throughout his career, most notably as a member and president of the Buenos Aires Province Chamber of Deputies, as Minister of Economy of Buenos Aires Province during the successive administrations of Eduardo Duhalde and Carlos Ruckauf, and briefly as Secretary of Communications during Duhalde's interim presidency in 2002.
María Rosa Martínez is an Argentine trade unionist and politician, currently serving as National Deputy elected in Buenos Aires Province. A member of Kolina, she was elected in 2019 as part of the Frente de Todos. Martínez previously worked in a number of positions in the Ministry of Social Development during the administration of Alicia Kirchner (2007–2015), and as a city councillor in Almirante Brown. She is also active in the Corriente Federal de Trabajadores (CFT).
