Danwon-gu is a district of the city of Ansan in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The name "Danwon" came from the nickname of Kim Hong Do, a famous Korean artist of the 18th century. The previous name of Kim Hong Do's hometown was "Ansan"; the residents wanted to rename the district so that it related to their great artist Kim Hong-do. [1]

Ansan College of Technology is a private technical college in Ansan City, which lies south of Seoul in Gyeonggi province. It offers degree programs in social science, tourism, physical education, industrial design, engineering, and computers. All programs place a strong emphasis on vocational outcomes. The campus stands in Danwon-gu, not far from the massive industrial complex in Sihwa, which facilitates partnerships with local industry. The college enrolls about 3,000 students, and employs about 55 instructors.

The World Mission Society Church of God is a new religious movement originated in South Korea in 1964. After Ahn Sahng-hong died in 1985, Kim Joo-cheol and Zahng Gil-jah changed the church's name to Witnesses of Ahn Sahng-hong Church of God. Thereafter, the Church expanded its activities to other parts of the world, and began using the name World Mission Society Church of God. Danwon pungsokdo cheop is an album of genre painting drawn by Kim Hong-do during the late Joseon dynasty. It was named after Kim's pen name, Danwon and comprises the 25 paintings in total. The album is painted with light watercolor on hanji. Each painting depicts vividly common people's daily life in the Joseon period.

Ipbuk-dong is an administrative neighbourhood in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Ipbuk-dong is divided into two different legal-status neighbourhoods, namely Ipbuk-dong and Dangsu-dong, which are separated by the Hwanggujicheon—a stream which flows south from Wangsong Reservoir on their northern boundary with the city of Uiwang, through Suwon, eventually to Asan Bay. The multi cultural special zone (town) is located in wongok-dong. In multi culture town 70% of the people are foreign and 30% of the people are Korean. Wongok-dong has the widest forest area of 34km. The farmland is 18.8km, which is small compared to the total area.
