Darkala-ye Olya (Persian : داركلاعليا‎, also Romanized as Dārkalā-ye ‘Olyā; also known as Dārkalā)^[1] is a village in Kelarestaq-e Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 671, in 175 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kelarestaq-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 24,530, in 6,433 families. The rural district has 33 villages.
