Sang-e Vares (Persian : سنگ وارث‎, also Romanized as Sang-e Vāres̄)^[1] is a village in Kelarestaq-e Gharbi Rural District, in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 957, in 267 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script, which itself evolved from the Aramaic alphabet.

Kelarestaq-e Gharbi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 13,953, in 3,877 families. The rural district has 27 villages.
