Daryanne Lees Garcia (born 25 December 1986 in San Juan, Puerto Rico ) is a Cuban-Puerto Rican beauty queen who represented Cuba at Miss Grand International 2014 where she won the title. [2] [3] [4]
Lees was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in December 1986 to a Puerto Rican mother and Cuban father. [5] She later relocated to Miami, Florida. [6]
Daryanne competed at Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2008 under the name Lees Daryanne where she represented the Puerto Rican Community in the United States and was awarded Best National Costume. She previously won Miss Tampa USA 2008. [7] She also won the title of Miss Florida US International in 2009. [8]
She is a candidate who took part in and became runner-up (Miss Eco-Tourism) in Miss Earth USA 2014 and held/joined a string of other contests like Miss Puerto Rico Teen, Miss Puerto Rico World 2006, Puerto Rico Model 2007, Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2008, Miss Florida USA 2009, Miss Florida US International 2009 before finally getting picked for the Miss Grand Cuba title. Lees Daryanne Garcia represented Cuba at the second Miss Grand International pageant on October 7, 2014, where she became the second winner in the pageant's history. [12] [13] She is the first woman to win an international beauty pageant title on behalf of Cuba in the history of international beauty pageants, Lees had traveled to Thailand, and South Sudan. Janelee Marcus Chaparro Colón, known professionally as Janelee Chaparro, is a Puerto Rican model and beauty queen who represented Puerto Rico at Miss World 2012 where she finished in the Top 30 and at Miss Grand International 2013 where she became the first winner in the pageant's history.

Miss Grand Brazil 2019 was the second edition of the Miss Grand Brazil beauty pageant, held on February 28, 2019, at the Dall'Onder Grande Hotel in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul. Twenty-two contestants, who qualified for the national stage through state contests held by the Concurso Nacional de Beleza, competed for the title, of whom a nutrition student and model resident of Mooca representing the state of São Paulo, Marjorie Marcelle, was elected the winner. She later represented Brazil at the Miss Grand International 2019 contest held that year on October 25 in Venezuela, and was named the fourth runner-up.
Miss Grand Tanzania was a Tanzanian female national beauty pageant, founded in 2017 by a Dar es Salaam-based legal counsel, Rasheedah Jamaldin. The winner of the contest represented the country in its international parent contest, Miss Grand International. Jamaldin terminated her partnership with Miss Grand International Limited in late 2018 after her both affiliated representatives were unplaced two years in a row. Previously, from 2014 to 2015, the competition license belonged to a businessperson, Veronika Rovegno, but all country representatives during that period were appointed.
Miss Grand Cuba is a national title given to a woman chosen to represent Cuba at the Miss Grand International pageant. The first titleholder was a Mexican-Cuban model from Sinaloa, Jamillette Gaxiola, who was appointed by the Miss Cuba organization to compete at the inaugural edition of the mentioned international contest in Thailand, where she was ranked in the final 10. Since then, Cuba has always sent their representatives to compete every year; however, most of them were appointed to the position without organizing the respective pageant until 2022, when a Miami-based Cuban pageant, Miss y Mister Cuba, acquired the license and the Miss Grand Cuba titleholder was elected through such a contest.

Five candidates, who qualified for the national final round through an audition held in mid-2023, competed for the title, of whom a 26-year-old Portuguese-Cuban model and assistant project manager from Miami-Dade County, Sofia Acosta, was announced the winner, while a Cuban national coordinator for the UN Ocean Decade ECOP program, Sheyla Ravelo, won the supplementary title of Miss International Cuba 2023.

Contestants from eighty-five countries and territories competed for the title, of whom the representative of Cuba, Daryanne Lees, was announced the winner and received a reward of 40,000 USD cash. Meanwhile, the representatives of Australia, Canada, Colombia, and Ethiopia were named the runners-up.
Miss Grand International 2015 was the third edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on October 25, 2015 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. Candidates from seventy-seven countries and territories competed for the title, of whom a 20-year-old Dominican American from Rhode Island representing Dominican Republic, Anea Garcia, was announced the winner and received a cash prize of 40,000 USD as a reward. Meanwhile, the candidates from Miss Grand Australia, Miss Grand India, the Miss Grand Philippines, and Miss Grand Thailand were named the runners-up. However, due to the inability to fulfill the agreement, the original winner from the Dominican Republic was later replaced by the first vice-miss, Claire Parker of Australia, in early 2016.
