Miss Grand International 2025 will be the 13th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant to be held at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, on 18 October 2025. [1]
Christine Juliane Opiaza of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event. [2] [3]
In an interview conducted in August 2022, the contest president, Nawat Itsaragrisil, disclosed that the host nation for Miss Grand International 2025 had already been selected, but the official announcement was deferred owing to contractual obligations. [4] [5] [6]
Subsequently, on 18 November 2024, the Miss Grand International Organization formally declared through its social media platforms that Thailand would serve as the host country for the pageant for a second consecutive year, [7] designating the MGI Hall in Bangkok as the central venue with ancillary events scheduled for Hua Hin. [8] The official schedule, comprising six subsidiary events, was later released a year later in early September 2025, detailing Hua Hin as the venue for the best-in-swimsuit contest and the closed-door interview on 9 and 10 October, respectively. The remaining subsidiary events—the welcome ceremony, national costume contest, preliminary round, and grand final—would be held sequentially in Bangkok on 1, 13, 15, and 18 October. [8]
As of September 2025 [update] , seventy delegates have been confirmed: thirty-seven were main winners of the 2025 related-national pageants, six won the title as a supplemental award in a multiple-title national pageant, and twenty-seven were appointed.
On 5 June 2025, the Miss Grand International Organization, through an official announcement disseminated via its social media platforms, promulgated a revision of the eligibility criteria for contestants. The new regulation established an age range of 18 to 35 years, with immediate effect from the 2025 edition onward. [9]
This edition saw the replacement of two contestants: Tina Batson of Venezuela resigned her Miss Grand Venezuela 2024 title due to financial constraints [10] and was succeeded by Nariman Battikha, elected at the Miss Grand Venezuela 2025 candidate presentation on 30 August; [11] likewise, Tamara Persad, winner of Miss Grand Trinidad and Tobago 2025, was dethroned for contractual reasons, [12] with the second runner-up, Monique Joseph, appointed as her replacement. [13]
This edition will feature the debuts of Iceland, Martinique, and Palestine. Additionally, this edition will feature the returns of Georgia, which last competed in 2013; Zimbabwe in 2014; Guyana and North Macedonia (as Macedonia) in 2015; Malta in 2016; Slovakia in 2017; Kazakhstan and Zambia in 2018; Kenya in 2020; Sweden in 2021; Portugal and Sri Lanka in 2022; and Costa Rica and Hong Kong in 2023.
