Miss Grand South Africa 2022 was the seventh edition of the Miss Grand South Africa beauty pageant, held on July 9, 2022, at the Boesies hall, Lake Umuzi Waterfront, Secunda. [1] [2] Thirty-eight candidates, who qualified for the national pageant via either an online screening performed or regional workshops performed earlier from February to April, competed for the title, and a 22-year-old fashion media student from Pretoria, Lu Juan Mzyk, was elected the winner, while the Johannesburg representative, Bianca Ramalho, and the Gauteng representative, Sphilangomusa Khwezi Msweli, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. [2] Lu Juan then represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant held in Indonesia on October 25, [3] but was unplaced. [4]

Puteri Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia is traditionally held in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day. The pageant annually sends its representative to compete at Miss International, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant also sends representatives for Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.
Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in Sub-major international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Following their newer method, both a Miss World South Africa and a Miss Universe South Africa were selected as representatives. From 2021 onwards, the winner of Miss South Africa will be competing in Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational. The current Miss South Africa 2024 is Mia le Roux. On May 11, 2023, the Miss South Africa Organisation has lost its license as a Miss World licensee holder to Carol Bouwer Productions, which has taken over the license of Miss World South Africa pageant.
Miss Teen World is a global beauty pageant for teenagers, based in Lima, Peru. That was established in 2001 by Cesar Montece, its founder, and is currently operated by Rodrigo Moreira, who owns all intellectual property rights.
Miss Earth Indonesia is a discontinued beauty pageant from Indonesia that selected Indonesian representative in the Miss Earth pageant. The Miss Earth Indonesia competition was abolished in 2021 because of El John Pageant lost the franchise of Miss Earth and rebranded the pageant with Putri Bumi Indonesia. From 2022, the licenseholder of Miss Earth pageant is PT. Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia and make a new pageant named Putri Nusantara which Miss Earth Indonesia is selected as one of the winner from that pageant.

Miss Tunisie is a national Beauty pageant in Tunisia. The pageant produced titleholders of Tunisia at Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth pageants.
The Glamanand Group is an Indian organization headquartered in New Delhi, which conducts national and international beauty pageants. Founded in 2014 by Nikhil Anand, it has since acquired a number of international beauty pageant licenses in India.

It consists of the annual national pageant Miss Grand Thailand, as well as the international competition Miss Grand International, to which participating rights are licensed to organizers in other countries. Miss Grand South Africa is an annual female beauty pageant in South Africa founded in 2015 by Commonwealth Pageant South Africa, led by Anel de Swardt, aiming to select the country representative to compete in its parent contest Miss Grand International. The license was transferred to Zee World in 2016, and later to Maggy-Dee Productions, led by Miss Grand South Africa 2015 "Lenie Pieterse" who currently owns and runs the contest since 2017.
Miss Grand International 2016 was the fourth Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Westgate International Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, on October 25, 2016 the first time the contest was held outside Thailand. Candidates from seventy-four countries and territories competed for the title. At the end of the event Claire Elizabeth Parker, Miss Grand International 2015 of Australia crowned Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia as her successor, making her the first Asian candidate to win the title. Meanwhile, the first to fourth vice-miss titles was awarded to the representatives of the Philippines, Thailand, Puerto Rico, and the United States, respectively.
Miss Grand Ghana is a Ghanaian female beauty pageant, founded in 2020 by Accra-based pageant organizer Legacy Pageants Limited, chaired by Sandy Amissah. The winners of the contest represent the country at its parent international stage, Miss Grand International, while the rest of its finalists are sent to compete on other international platforms. In 2022, the license of Miss Grand Ghana was taken over by Abena Appiah, a former Miss Grand International, who has owned and run the contest annually since then.
Miss Grand Ghana 2022 was the second edition of the Miss Grand Ghana beauty pageant, held on 8 July 2022 at the National Theatre of Ghana in the capital Accra. As the tradition of the pageant, the winner of the contest, Priscilla Bossman of Central Region was crowned by the immediate predecessor, Miss Grand Ghana 2020 Pamela Clement, and later represented the country at Miss Grand International 2022 held in Indonesia on October 25, but went unplaced.
Miss Grand Nigeria was a Nigerian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by a Lagos based event organizer chaired by Loveth Ajufoh, QLA Nigeria. The winners of the contest, which was held individually twice, represented Nigeria at its parent competition, Miss Grand International. Previously, the contest's license belonged to AMC Productions, the organizer of the Miss Earth Nigeria pageant, before being transferred to QLA Nigeria Limited, 001 Entertainment – the organizer of The Nigerian Queen, and the Qhue Group. in 2015, 2020, and 2023, respectively.
Miss Grand South Africa 2015 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand South Africa beauty pageant, held on September 11, 2015, at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City amusement park, Johannesburg. Eight candidates, who qualified for the national pageant via an online screening performed earlier in April, competed for the title, and a 22-year-old business student from the province of Free State, Magdalena Lenie Pieterse, was elected the winner, while the Eastern Cape representative, Danielle Leach, was named the vice-miss. Lenie Pieterse then represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2015 pageant held in Thailand on October 25 but was unplaced.
Miss Grand South Africa 2016 was the second edition of the Miss Grand South Africa beauty pageant, held on August 6, 2016, at the Atterbury Theatre, Pretoria. Seven candidates, who qualified for the national pageant via an online screening performed earlier in April, competed for the title, and a professional model from the province of Limpopo, Caitlin Harty, was elected the winner, while the Mpumalanga representative, Precious Khoza, and the Gauteng representative, Thando Tsiane, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Harty then represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant held in Las Vegas, United States, on October 25, but was unplaced.
Miss Grand South Africa 2023 was the eighth edition of the Miss Grand South Africa beauty pageant, held on July 22, 2023, at the Atterbury Theatre in South Africa's capital, Pretoria. Twenty-five candidates who qualified for the national pageant through the virtual casting competed for the title, and a 19-year-old former Miss Teen World from Johannesburg, Gugulethu Mayisela, was elected the winner. She was crowned by Miss Grand South Africa 2022, Lu Juan Mzyk, and obtain the right to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant, which is scheduled to be in Vietnam on October 25.
Gugulethu Mayisela is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who became the first black woman to win the Miss Teen World 2022 in Ecuador. She is also crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2023 and represented South Africa at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam.
