Miss Grand El Salvador 2023 or CNB Grand El Salvador 2023 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand El Salvador pageant, held on 29 July 2023, [1] [2] [3] at the FEPADE Theater, San Salvador. [2] [3] Candidates from fourteen departments of El Salvador competed for the title, [4] of whom the representative of La Libertad, Fátima Calderón, was named the winner, while Alexia Pacheco of Santa Ana and Naomy Montiel of San Miguel were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. [5] [6]

The winner of the contest, Fátima Calderón, will represent El Salvador at the international pageant, Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on 25 October. [2] [3] [6] Meanwhile, the remaining candidates will compete again on another stage, CNB El Salvador 2023, scheduled for late 2023 when the country representatives for Miss Grand International 2024, Miss International 2024, and Miss Supranational 2024 will be determined. [5]

The pageant was managed by the Certamen Nacional de Belleza El Salvador (CNB El Salvador) chairperson, Francisco Cortez, [2] [3] [5] and its grand final coronation round was hosted by Kerim Handal. [5]

Miss Grand Mexico is a national title bestowed upon a woman chosen to represent Mexico at the international pageant, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when Jesús Rábago, the director of a Mexican national pageant, Rostro de México, appointed his 2012 contest winner, Laura Alvarez, to represent the country in the inaugural edition of the parent international contest, Miss Grand International 2013, in Thailand. The license was transferred to Miss Mexico Organization in 2017, and then to Flavio Falsiroli in 2022. Since December 2023, the new franchise holder is former Miss Universe 1991, Mexico’s own Lupita Jones, who will crown next year’s official candidate during her national pageant of Mexicana Universal, sometime in 2024.

Miss Grand El Salvador is a national title given to a woman chosen to represent El Salvador at Miss Grand International. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when a San Salvador-based model, Elisa Durán, was appointed to represent the country at the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand. Since 2018, the right to send an El Salvadoran representative to compete at Miss Grand International has belonged to a national pageant chaired by Francisco Cortez, Certamen Nacional de la Belleza El Salvador, in which the main winner was titled Reina de El Salvador and customarily assumed to be Miss Grand El Salvador.

María Camila Avella Montañez is a Colombian beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Colombia 2023. She was the first representative from Casanare to win Miss Universe Colombia. She represented her country at Miss Universe 2023 and placed in the top five. She was also the first married woman and mother to reach the top five of Miss Universe.
