Miss Grand Myanmar 2016 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Myanmar beauty pageant, [1] held at the City Hall of Pyin Oo Lwin, on August 8, 2016, [2] [3] by Yangon-based event organizer Style Plus H. [4] [5] [6] Twenty-four candidates competed for the title, [5] [7] of whom a Yangon-based model, Nandar Lwin, was announced the winner. [2] She was crowned by San Htate Htar Linn, Miss Grand Myanmar 2015 and later represented the country at the international competition, Miss Grand International 2016, held at the Westgate International Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on 25 October, [2] [8] but got non-placement. [9] [10]
In addition to the winner, the country representatives for Miss Tourism International 2016 and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year were also determined. [5] [11] The grand final of the pageant was broadcast live to the audience nationwide on Sky Net Teen Channel. [5]

Myanmar national under-20 football team is the under-20 football team of Myanmar. It was known as the Burma national youth football team before 1989. During a ten-year span between 1961 and 1970, Burma thoroughly dominated the U-19/U-20 Asian Cup, reaching the finals eight times and winning the tournament seven times. The team participated in 2014 AFC U-19 Championship and qualified for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand after reaching the semi-finals stage. This was the debut appearance of the team in the World Cup competition.

Miss Grand Myanmar is an annual female national beauty pageant of Myanmar, founded in 2016 by Yangon-based event organizer Style Plus H. Previously, from 2013 to 2014, the license belonged to the Miss Golden Land Myanmar organization, and then it was under the proprietary of the Miss Universe Myanmar organizer, Hello Madam, during 2017 – 2020. Since 2021, the Glamorous International, headed by a Burmese overseas in Thailand, Htoo Ant Lwin, has been responsible for sending Myanmar delegates to compete at Miss Grand International.

Miss Grand Myanmar 2024 was the 2nd edition of the Miss Grand Myanmar pageant, held at the Hexagon Complex, Shwe Htut Tin Compound in Yangon on December 10, 2023. Fifty-six contestants who have qualified for the national pageant through either the regional preliminary stages or the casting process competed for the title, of whom the representative of Taungoo, Thae Su Nyein, was announced the winner and obtained the right to represent Myanmar in the Miss Grand International 2024 pageant, to be held on October 25, 2023, in Yangon.
Myanmar is participating at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs sent 82 athletes to compete in 8 sports. Myanmar delegation included totally 126 with 82 athletes and 44 officials. The team was led by General Hla Moe, the chairman of Myanmar Paralympic Sports Federation.

Miss Grand Yangon is a Myanmar's local female beauty pageant in the region of Yangon, founded in 2024 as a preliminary stage for the Miss Grand Myanmar national pageant. In addition to determining the four district representatives of the region, some finalists were also assigned to represent other districts outside the Region of Yangon to compete in the national event.
