Miss Grand Iran is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Iran representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. [1] [2] [3] The title was first awarded in 2014 to Bahareh Heidari, the winner of Miss Iran 2013, who then competed at Miss Grand International 2014 in Thailand; [1] however, was unplaced. [4]
Traditionally, the winners of the Miss Iran pageant were also assumed the Miss Grand Iran titleholders until 2021, [5] when the contract with Miss Grand International was discontinued, and the national winner was sent to compete at Miss Earth instead. [6]
Since the establishment of Miss Grand International, Iran participated three times but all of its representatives received non-placements. [4] [7] [8]
Since the Islamic Revolution happened in Iran in 1979, the beauty pageant is prohibited. Several pageant which was previously held annually was abolished. [5] Later in 2013, an Iranian American television producer and a chairperson of an Australian-based media company IMAJH, George Clooney, established a virtual Iranian pageant named Miss Iran, and its first winner– Bahareh Heidari– was sent to internationally compete in Miss Grand International 2014 in Thailand. [5] The partnership between the IMAJH and Miss Grand International was terminated in 2021, and the national pageant was also renamed to Queen of Persia, in which the winner was sent to compete at Miss Earth instead. Due to participating in a beauty pageant and the publication of unconventional images against the laws of the Islamic Republic, a 2016 titleholder – Atefeh Eskandari, was arrested and imprisoned, [9] [10] and was later released in early 2021. [9]

Miss Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed on the women representing Puerto Rico in international beauty pageants. In 1987, Puerto Rico became the ninth country to win the Big Three pageants of Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. Puteri Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia is traditionally held in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day. The pageant annually sends its winner to represent the country at Miss International, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant also sends representatives for Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.
The Miss Bolivia is a national beauty pageant in Bolivia. The pageant was founded in 1930, and the first winner, Rosa Pizarro Araoz of Tarija, was sent to compete in Miss Latin America held in Miami, United States.

Miss Earth Indonesia is a discontinued beauty pageant from Indonesia that selected Indonesian representative in the Miss Earth pageant. The Miss Earth Indonesia competition was abolished in 2021 because of El John Pageant lost the franchise of Miss Earth and rebranded the pageant with Putri Bumi Indonesia From 2022, the licenseholder of Miss Earth pageant is PT. Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia and make a new pageant named Putri Nusantara which Miss Earth Indonesia is selected as one of the winner from that pageant.
Miss Malta is a national beauty pageant in Malta which was founded in 1963 by George and Margaret Gatt Mangion of GM Productions. The pageant is also considered as the oldest beauty contest held in the Maltese Islands. During 2014 – 2018, the event was organized by Glamorous Entertainment, under the management of Vince Taliana. Since 2019, the pageant has been run under the leadership of Kersten Borg.

During 2015 to 2021, the contest was run by Introducing Talent Sdn Bhd, under the leadership of Jude Benjamin Lisa. Since 2022, the franchise has belonged to the Singapore-based start-up HyperLive Entertainment.
Miss Grand Chile is a national female beauty pageant in Chile that has been held annually since 2016, founded by Boris Cabrera of Latin Scouting y CBC Producciones, aiming to select country representatives to compete in its parent international contest, Miss Grand International. In 2019, the pageant license was consigned to Keno Manzur, and subsequently transferred to Cristian Chanaca and Gabriel Alfonsino in 2021, Chanaca later withdrew from the director team in 2023.
Miss Grand Nigeria was a Nigerian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by a Lagos-based event organizer chaired by Loveth Ajufoh, QLA Nigeria. The winners of the contest, which was held individually twice, represented Nigeria at its parent competition, Miss Grand International. Previously, the contest's license belonged to AMC Productions, the organizer of the Miss Earth Nigeria pageant, before being transferred to QLA Nigeria Limited, 001 Entertainment – the organizer of The Nigerian Queen, and the Qhue Group. in 2015, 2020, and 2023, respectively.
Miss Grand United Kingdom is a female beauty pageant in the United Kingdom, founded in 2015 by a Lancashire-based pageant organizer, Pageant Girls UK, chaired by Holly Louise, who was also the UK license holder for various other international pageants such as Miss Earth, Miss International and Miss Intercontinental. The winners of the contest, which usually comprises three or four titles, including Miss Grand England, Miss Grand Wales, Miss Grand Scotland, and Miss Grand Northern Ireland, represent their countries in the international parent contest, Miss Grand International. However, as the former licensee was unable to send the elected delegates to compete in the 2019 international contest in Venezuela, the competition license was transferred to Megan Darlington in 2020, and subsequently to Kathryn Fanshawe in mid-2022.
Miss Grand International 2014 was the second edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on 7 October 2014 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. Contestants from eighty-five countries and territories competed for the title, of whom the representative of Cuba, Daryanne Lees, was announced the winner and received a reward of 40,000 USD cash. Meanwhile, the representatives of Australia, Canada, Colombia, and Ethiopia were named the runners-up.
