Miss Grand Kyrgyzstan is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Kyrgyz representatives who were elected to compete at the Miss Grand International pageant. [1] [2] [3] The title was first awarded in 2014 to Samudinova Nurzhamal, [4] and then to Jamilya Jyrgalbekova in 2021, [5] [6] as the supplemental titles in the Miss Kyrgyzstan pageants. In 2014, the license of Miss Grand Kyrgyzstan belonged to of the IDOL Fashion Management, [7] who was also the franchise holder of Miss Grand Kazakhstan from 2013 to 2014. [8] [9] Meanwhile, the 2022 license was purchased by the organizer of Miss Kyrgyzstan, the Glam Shot. [5]
Kyrgyzstan was originally expected to make its debut in the Miss Grand International pageant in 2014 when Samudinova Nurzhamal was elected Miss Grand Kyrgyzstan after participating at the Miss Kyrgyzstan 2014 pageant held at the Malakhitovom Hall in the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater in Bishkek on September 6, 2014. [4] [3] [10] However, Samudinova did not enter the international tournament in Thailand for undisclosed reasons. [11]
Later in November 2021, the title of Miss Grand Kyrgyzstan was awarded to the first vice-miss of the Miss Kyrgyzstan 2021 pageant, [1] [5] [6] in which the titleholder, Jamilya Jyrgalbekova, was set to partake at the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant in Indonesia, [5] [12] but withdrew due to the increase in flight prices caused by the 2022 Russo-Ukrainian wars. Roza Isakovna Otunbayeva is a Kyrgyz diplomat and politician who served as the President of Kyrgyzstan from 7 April 2010 until 1 December 2011, becoming the first female Central Asian head of state. She was sworn in on July 3, 2010, after acting as interim leader following the 2010 April Revolution, which led to the ousting of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. She previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and as head of the parliamentary caucus for the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan. She is also known for the persecution of human rights activist Azimzhan Askarov and the failed policy that led to the clashes of June 2010.
Miss World 1993, the 43rd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 27 November 1993 at the Sun City Entertainment Centre in Sun City, South Africa. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant was held in the South Africa.The pageant attracted 81 contestants from all over the world. This is the second consecutive staging of the pageant in Sun City. The winner was Lisa Hanna of Jamaica. She was crowned by Julia Kourotchkina of Russia.

He was Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from 17 December 2010 to 1 December 2011, and from 29 March 2007 to 28 November 2007. He served as Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDPK) from 30 July 1999 to 23 September 2011.

Natalya "Natasha" Stroeva is a Russian model and beauty pageant titleholder who placed as the second runner-up at Miss Russia 2018, representing Yakutia. She was later appointed Miss World Russia 2018, and represented Russia at Miss World 2018.
Sadyr Nurgojo uulu Japarov is a Kyrgyz politician who has been serving as the president of Kyrgyzstan since 28 January 2021. He previously held the post of acting prime minister of Kyrgyzstan in the 2020 interim government, following the resignation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov. Japarov also became acting president of Kyrgyzstan after Jeenbekov's resignation, but resigned himself on 14 November 2020 to run for the 2021 presidential election, in which he was elected to succeed the acting president, Talant Mamytov.
The Social Democrats is a political party in Kyrgyzstan founded in late 2019 by supporters of former President Almazbek Atambayev – legal successor from the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDKP). After a conflict between Atambaev and his successor President Sooronbai Jeenbekov emerged and deepened in 2018, Atambayev accused of Jeenbekov in attempting to seize authority over the SDKP, a party that Atambayev himself formed in 1990s and served as a leader of. The SDK participated in the annulled 2020 parliamentary election. The current party leader is Temirlan Sultanbekov.

Miss Grand Belarus is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Belarusian representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when a Moscow-based model, Veronika Chachyna, was announced as the Belarusian candidate to compete at the inaugural edition of the mentioned international pageant in Thailand. Nevertheless, Chachyna withdrew from the competition.
Miss Grand Russia is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Russian representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first awarded in 2013, when a Moscow-based television personality, Anyuta Volkova, was appointed to compete in the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand, where the headquarter of the pageant was located. From 2013 to 2020, the license of Miss Grand Russia belonged to the Cheboksary-based modeling agency, Volga Models, which is also the organizer of the Miss Tourism Russia pageant. However, the country representatives for Miss Grand International were not determined through the mentioned national contest; hand-picking was usually done.
Miss Grand Mongolia is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Mongolia representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. It was first awarded in 2013 to one of the Miss Mongolia 2013 finalists from Ulaanbaatar, Delgermaa Enkhtsogt, who then competed at the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand, but was unplaced. By different directors, the following representatives were also assigned; no stand-alone pageant was held individually for Miss Grand.
Miss Grand Kazakhstan is a female beauty pageant title awarded to Kazakh representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when an Almaty-based model, Yuliya Kolesnik, was assigned by Idol Fashion Management LLC to represent Kazakhstan at the first edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand; however, she was unplaced.
Miss Grand Bashkortostan is a female beauty pageant title awarded to Bashkir representatives competing in the Miss Grand International contest. From 2019 to 2020, the franchise of Miss Grand International for Bashkortostan belonged to a model agency, Miss Bash Models, which was managed by Luiza Zakiryanova.
Miss Grand Crimea is a female beauty pageant title awarded to Crimean representatives competing in the Miss Grand International contest. The first Crimean at Miss Grand International was a Khabarovsk-based model, Sofia Kim, assigned in 2020 by Anton Sergeevi; however, Sofia didn't place at the Miss Grand International 2020 semifinals held in Thailand, and the franchise was discontinued. Sergeevi instead purchased the license for Miss Grand Russia the following year.
Miss Grand Tatarstan is a female beauty pageant title awarded to Tatar representatives competing in the Miss Grand International contest. From 2017 to 2018, the franchise of Miss Grand International for Tatarstan belonged to the Miss Tourism Russia pageant, which is organized by a Cheboksary-based modeling agency headed by Vladimir Ilyin, Volga Models.
The 10th-anniversary edition of the Miss Grand International pageant was held at the Sentul International Convention Center in West Java, Indonesia on October 25, 2022, in which candidates from 68 countries and territories participated. These candidates were elected as the country representatives through different methods, such as through the Miss Grand National which was held to select the country representative for Miss Grand International specifically, or appointed by another national pageant organizer, in which the main winner was sent to compete on other international stages. Some of them were assigned as the representatives without competing at any national pageant in this particular year.
