Miss Grand Australia 2018 was the fourth edition of the Miss Grand Australia pageant, held on June 16, 2018, [1] [2] [3] at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney, [2] [4] [5] where a 26-year-old Zimbabwe-born law student from Melbourne, Kimberly Gundani, was announced the winner, outclassing other forty-one finalists. [5] [6] [7] [8] Meanwhile, Chloe Maddison Ryan, Jasmine Leatham, Krishna Shukla, and Alana Thomas were named the runners-up. Kimberly later represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2018 pageant in Myanmar, [8] [9] [10] and was placed among the top 20 finalists. [8] [11]

Contents

The pageant also raised over A$50,000, which was donated to the UN Women, a United Nations entity working for gender equality and the empowerment of women. [4] [6] [12]

The following is the list of the 42 candidates for the Miss Grand Australia 2018 pageant, 25 of these contestants are national finalists, while the remaining 17 contestants are wildcard entries. [1] [6]

Miss Grand Costa Rica is a San José-based female national beauty pageant in Costa Rica, organized separately for in first time in 2022 by the Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Costa Rica, with Erick Solis as the president. The winner of the contest represents the country at its parent competition, the Miss Grand International pageant. Before 2022, the competition license belonged to different organizers, such as the Reinas de Costa Rica organization (2015 – 2017) and the Miss Costa Rica organization (2018 – 2021). Most of the country's representatives at the Miss Grand International pageant during such a period were appointed without organizing the respective pageant.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Namibia</span> National beauty pageant in Namibia

Miss Grand Namibia was a Namibian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by Magnolia Kuhanga, the chairperson of the Windhoek-based organizer, Magnolia Events Management. The pageant was declared defunct in late 2018 after the incorporation between the aforementioned national organizer and Miss Grand International Limited was not extended and no other domestic organizer was interested in the license. Originally, the winners of the contest, which was held three times—in 2015, 2016, and 2018—were expected to represent Namibia on its international parent platform, Miss Grand International. However, all three winners withdrew from the international pageant for unspecified reasons; only one of them was replaced by an appointed representative.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Australia 2019</span> 5th Miss Grand Australia competition, beauty pageant edition

Miss Grand Australia 2019 was the fifth edition of the Miss Grand Australia pageant, held on June 16, 2019, at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney, where a 24-year-old disability support worker from Gold Coast, Taylor Marlene, was announced the winner, outclassing other twenty-one candidates. Meanwhile, Anja Christ Offersen, Lavinia Grace White, Alecia Mccallum, Jazel Alarca, and Jayde Crystal Wright were named runners-up. Taylor later represented Australia at the Miss Grand International 2019 pageant in Venezuela, and was placed among the top 10 finalists.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Sweden</span> Beauty pageant in Sweden

Miss Grand Sweden is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Swedish representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first awarded in 2013, when a finalist in Miss Universe Sweden 2012, Claudia Sundberg, was assigned to partake in the inaugural edition of the parent international tournament in Thailand. In 2014, the license was transferred to the Miss Queen of Scandinavia Organization (MQOS), the Miss World Sweden organizer chaired by Peter Hadward, who served as the Miss Grand Sweden director until 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Australia 2023</span> 7th edition of the Miss Grand Australia beauty pageant

Miss Grand Australia 2023 was the seventh edition of the Miss Grand Australia pageant, held on July 15, 2023, at the RACV City Club located in the capital of Victoria state, Greater Melbourne. Thirty candidates, who have qualified for the national pageant through an online profile screening performed from February to March, competed for the title, and a 28-year-old ADHDer and disability support worker from Victoria, Mikaela-Rose Fowler, was announced the winner. Her court consisted of four runners-up including Paitin Louise Powell 1st runner-up, Brooke Murray 2nd runner-up, Selina McCloskey 3rd runner-up, and Alecia McCallum 4th runner-up. Fowler will later represent the country at the parent international stage, Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Ireland</span> Irish beauty pageant title

Miss Grand Ireland is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Irish representatives chosen to compete at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first awarded in 2013 to the runner-up of Britain's Big Brother series 15, Ashleigh Coyle, after she competed at the 2017 Miss International United Kingdom; however, Ashleigh did not partake in the international tournament in Vietnam.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Lithuania</span> Lithuanian beauty pageant title

Miss Grand Lithuania is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Lithuania representatives chosen to compete at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first awarded in 2016 to a make-up artist from Vilnius, Aista Mačiulytė, followed by a journalism student Irmina Preisegalaviciute in 2017.
