Miss Grand Honduras 2023 was the second edition of the Miss Grand Honduras pageant, [1] [2] held on September 16, 2023, at the Centro de Convenciones Honduras Maya, Tegucigalpa. [1] Sixteen candidates, who qualified for the national final round through an online profile screening, competed for the title, [1] [2] [3] of whom a 20-year-old audiovisual and advertising communication student representing Francisco Morazán, Cecilia García, was announced the winner. [4] [5] [6] [7] Cecilia will represent the country at Miss Grand International 2024. [2] [8]

In addition to the main winner, the first runner-up, Abigail Rovelo, will be sent to compete in Miss Expo World 2024 in Guatemala, while the second runner-up, Alejandra Espino, will represent the country at the Miss Teenager Universe 2024 pageant. [9] [10]

The pageant's grand final competition was attended by Miss Grand International 2017, María José Lora of Peru, and Miss Grand International 2019, Valentina Figuera of Venezuela. [9] [10] [11]

Candidates

Originally, eighteen candidates confirmed to participate, [2] [3] but the representatives of Lempira and Ocotepeque withdrew, making the finalized total of sixteen contestants. [9] [11]

The COVID-19 pandemic in Honduras was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Honduras on 10 March 2020, when two women tested positive for the virus after one of them landed on Toncontín International Airport in a flight from Madrid, Spain, and the other on Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport in a flight from Geneva, Switzerland. Confirmed cases have been reported in all 18 departments of the country, with the majority of cases located in Cortés and Francisco Morazán.

Maelia Salcines of the Paraguayan Community in USA was crowned by Miss Grand Paraguay 2022, Agatha Leon of Ciudad del Este, and gained the right to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25. On the other hand, Sharon Capó of Amambay was crowned Miss Grand Paraguay 2024, and will eventually represent the country at the 2024 international edition.

Miss Grand El Salvador 2023 or CNB Grand El Salvador 2023 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand El Salvador pageant, held on July 29, 2023, at the FEPADE Theater, San Salvador. Candidates from fourteen departments of El Salvador competed for the title, of whom the representative of La Libertad, Fátima Calderón, was named the winner, while Alexia Pacheco of Santa Ana and Naomy Montiel of San Miguel were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Miss Grand International 2024 will be the 12th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, to be held on 25 October 2024. The host country selection process was completed in mid-2022 but has not been revealed yet. Miss Grand International 2023 winner will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Miss Grand Spain 2024 will be the eighth edition of the Miss Grand Spain pageant, scheduled to be held in mid-2024. Candidates, who qualified for the national pageant through the provincial contests, will compete for the title, and the winner of whom will represent the country at its parent international stage, Miss Grand International 2024.
