Miss Grand Angola 2023 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Angola pageant, [1] [2] [3] held on September 2, 2023, [2] [3] at the Epic Sana Hotel, Luanda. [4] [5] [6] Ten candidates who qualified for the national final round through an audition held on July 9, 2023, at the Mundo da Casa Shopping Mall (MDC), competed for the title. [2] [3] [7] Of whom, a 24-year-old administrative assistant from Luanda, Eugénia das Neves, was elected the winner. [5] [6] [8] Eugénia later represented the country at the international parent stage, Miss Grand International 2023, held in Vietnam on October 25, 2023, and was named the 5th runner-up. [2] [3]
The grand final round of the contest was hosted by Mister Angola 2017, Bráulio Anderson, and Miss Angola 2014, Whitney Shikongo, [9] and was highlighted by live performances of two music bands, Bass and Heroide. [8]
The pageant was financially supported by the MDC Shopping Mall, Água Perla, Kabuiza, and Opal Negra, with an online news portal, Platinaline, as the official media partner. [2] [3]
After two years of returning to join the Miss Grand International pageant, a scheme to conduct the first national contest of Miss Grand Angola was observed in early-July 2023 when the national licensee team led by former Miss Grand Angola, Márcia de Menezes, ran an audition in the MDC Shopping Mall in Luanda to select the national aspirants for the national final contest, which was scheduled for September. Initially, twelve candidates qualified for the national final, but two of them withdrew, making the finalized total of ten candidates. [4]

He was young nobleman who exercised a position in the Royal court of Portugal, 14th Lord of Murça and Castro Daire, squire of Figueira, commander of Santa Maria de Freixas in the Order of Christ and honorary member of the Royal Academy of Sciences, in addition to holding several political offices, including that of governor and captain-general of Angola, minister and peer of the realm, appointed to a commission, by King John VI of Portugal, to draft a constitution for Portugal, minister and peer of the realm.

Whitney Shikongo is an Angolan model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Angola 2014 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.
Luísa Baptista is an Angolan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Angola 2016 after qualifying as Miss Cuando Cubango; the first time someone from that region had won the Miss Angola title. She represented Angola at Miss Universe 2016.
Miss Grand Brazil is an annual female beauty pageant in Brazil, founded in 2014 by a São Paulo-based event organizer Gerson Antonelli, to select the country's representatives to compete in its parent international contest, Miss Grand International. From 2015 to 2023, the pageant was managed by Concurso Nacional de Beleza Miss Brasil, led by Henrique Fontes. Then the franchise was transferred to former Miss Universe Brazil organizer, Evandro Hazzy of Hazzy Top Talent, in 2024.
Miss Brazil World 2006 was the 17th edition of the Miss Brazil World pageant and 1st under MMB Productions & Events. The contest took place on July 30, 2006. Representatives from various cities all throughout Brazil competed for the Brazilian crown for Miss World. Jane Borges of Goiânia, Goiás was crowned Miss Brazil World at the end of the contest by Miss World 2005, Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. Borges succeeded outgoing titleholder Patrícia Reginato of Paraná. Borges represented Brazil at Miss World 2006. The contest was held at the Music Channel Auditorium in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
Miss Grand International 2023 was the 11th Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 25 October 2023.
Miss Brazil 2006 was the 52nd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 8 April 2006 at Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil and was hosted by Nayla Micherif and Nivaldo Prieto. Carina Beduschi of Santa Catarina crowned her successor Rafaela Zanella of Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the event. Zanella represented Brazil at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant and placed in the Top 20. 1st Runner-Up, Maria Cláudia Barreto of Acre, represented the country at Miss International 2006. This year's pageant had Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, as a special guest.
Miss Grand Brazil 2014 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Brazil beauty pageant, held at the Anfiteatro da Casa de Cultura in Olímpia, São Paulo on July 25, 2014. Fourteen candidates competed for the title, of whom the representative of Paraná, Yameme Ibrahim, was named the winner. She then represented Brazil on the parent stage, Miss Grand International 2014, held on November 1, 2014, in Bangkok, Thailand, where she was placed among the top 20 finalists.
Miss Grand Brazil 2023 was the 5th edition of the Miss Grand Brazil beauty pageant, originally programmed to be held on June 29, 2023, at Hotel Sibara Flat & Conventions in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, but was later rescheduled to June 10 and the venue was moved to Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort, Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.
Miss Grand Angola is a national beauty pageant title awarded to women chosen to represent the Angola at the Miss Grand International contest. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when a 26-year-old model, Nádia de Vasconcelos, was assigned by a London-based event organizer, Beauties of Africa Inc, to represent Angola at the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand, but Nádia did not join the contest for undisclosed reasons.
Miss Grand Trinidad and Tobago 2023 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Trinidad and Tobago pageant. The grand final of the contest, which was originally set for September 2, was organized on September 10, 2023, at the Banquet and Conference Centre MovieTowne Mall, Port of Spain.
Adriana Yanca Rodrigues Alves is a Brazilian fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder. She has competed in Miss Brazil CNB 2021 and Miss Supranational Brazil 2022, and the winner of Miss Grand Brazil 2023. Adriana represented Brazil in Miss Grand International 2023 but received a non-placement.
Miss Grand Rio de Janeiro is a Brazilian state-level female beauty pageant, founded by Noemi Rosseto in 2021, to select the representatives of Rio de Janeiro for the Miss Grand Brazil pageant. The competition license was transferred to Fabrício Granito, who has owned and run the pageant since 2024.
Miss Grand Pará is a Brazilian state-level female beauty pageant, founded in 2023 by an architect, Lucas Camisão, to select the representatives of Pará for the Miss Grand Brazil pageant. The competition license was transferred to Herculano Silva, who has owned and run the pageant since 2024.
Miss Grand Piauí is a Brazillian state-level female beauty pageant, founded in 2023 by an event organizer, Everton Cesar, to select the representatives of Piauí for the Miss Grand Brazil pageant.
