South Tyrol is an autonomous province in northern Italy. An English translation of the official German and Italian names could be the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol, reflecting the multilingualism and different naming conventions in the area. Together with Trentino, South Tyrol forms the autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol. The province is the northernmost of Italy, the second largest with an area of 7,400 square kilometres (2,857 sq mi), and has a total population of about 534,000 inhabitants as of 2021. Its capital and largest city is Bolzano.
Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol is an autonomous region of Italy, located in the northern part of the country. The region has a population of 1.1 million, of whom 62% speak Italian as their mother tongue, 30% speak South Tyrolean German and several foreign languages are spoken by immigrant communities. Since the 1970s, most legislative and administrative powers have been transferred to the two self-governing provinces that make up the region: the province of Trento, commonly known as Trentino, and the province of Bolzano, commonly known as South Tyrol. In South Tyrol, German remains the sizeable majority language.

Dieter Steger has been party leader since 2024, while party member Arno Kompatscher has been governor of South Tyrol since 2014.

Executive power is exercised by the Regional Government and Legislative power is vested in both the government and the Regional Council. However, since a constitutional reform in 1972, almost all the executive and legislative powers are devolved to the two provinces of which the region is composed: Trentino and the South Tyrol.

It is a mountainous road that runs through the Dolomite area from South Tyrol, through Trentino to Cadore, crossing very suggestive mountain scenery.
Miss Grand Italy or Miss Grand International Italy is a national female beauty pageant in Italy, held annually since 2019, aiming to select the country representative for Miss Grand International, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting World Peace and against all kinds of conflicts. The pageant has been being managed by a Benevento-based event organizer MUPI SRL., chaired by Giuseppe Puzio, since its establishment.
Miss Grand Italy 2022 was the fourth edition of the Miss Grand Italy beauty pageant, held from 14 – 18 September 2022 at Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea, Maratea in the Province of Potenza. Thirty-nine contestants chosen by various local organizers through their regional pageant competed for the title, of which an eighteen-year-old girl Miriam Malerba from Apulia was named the winner. Malerba later represented the country at the international competition, Miss Grand International 2022, held in Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia on 25 October. but got non-placement.
Miss Grand Italy 2023 was the fifth edition of the Miss Grand Italy pageant, held on 11 June 2023, at the Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea, in the Province of Potenza. Forty-five candidates from different regions of the country competed for the title, of whom a 24-year-old Venezuelan-Italian professional model representing Aosta Valley, Andrea Zanettin, was named the main winner, while a 14-year-old girl from Naples, Aurora Fretta, was announced the winner of the Mascot category.

Miss Grand Umbria is an Italian regional female beauty pageant, founded in 2019 by a Foligno-based event organizer, Asy SAS, led by Lorena Sensini and Massimiliano Marchionni. The winners of the contest represent the region of Umbria in the Miss Grand Italy national pageant.
