Miss Grand Sierra Leone is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Sierra Leonean representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. [1] [2] [3] The title was first mentioned in 2017 when Rubie Timbo, who was affiliated with Swadu Beckley's pageant organizer IAMSL Pageant, [4] was appointed to represent the country in the Miss Grand International contest in Vietnam. [1]
Sierra Leone participated in Miss Grand International twice; in 2017 and 2018, [1] [2] but its both representatives were unplaced on the international stage. [2] [5] [6] In 2019, the Sierra Leonean candidate for Miss Grand International 2019 was also decided but she withdrew. [2]
Sierra Leone made the debut in the Miss Grand International pageant in 2017 after the license was granted by Swadu Beckley, the director of Face of Sierra Leone organizer company named IAMSL Pageant, [7] [8] and a model from Freetown, Rubie Timbo, was assigned to represent the country internationally in Vietnam. [1] [9] However, Rubie was unable to join the international for undisclosed reasons and was replaced by former Miss Tourism Queen Sierra Leone, Nyallay Sia, [10] [11] The following representatives for the 2018 and 2019 international contests were also appointed; no Miss Grand National was held to determine titleholders. In 2019, a 24-year-old model, Ramatulai Wurie, was hand-picked by the national licensee to compete at Miss Grand International 2019 in Venezuela, [2] but she withdrew; security concerns in the host country was expected as the main reasons. [12] She was later elected to compete at the Miss Supranational 2021 pageant in Poland, [13] but went unplaced. [14]
Due to lacking franchise holders, the Sierra Leonean representatives for Miss Grand International have not been determined since 2020.

Puteri Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia is traditionally held in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day. The pageant annually sends its winner to represent the country at Miss International, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant also sends representatives for Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.

Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in Sub-major international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Following their newer method, both a Miss World South Africa and a Miss Universe South Africa were selected as representatives. On May 11, 2023, the Miss South Africa Organisation has lost its license as a Miss World licensee holder to Carol Bouwer Productions, which has taken over the license of Miss World South Africa pageant.

The Fula make up about 3.4% of Sierra Leone's population. The Sierra Leone Fula people settled in the Western Area region of Sierra Leone more than four hundred years ago as settlers from the Fouta Djallon Kingdom that expanded to northern Sierra Leone.

The Face of Sierra Leone or also known as Miss Universe Sierra Leone, is a national Beauty pageant in Sierra Leone that selects the winner to represent the country in the Miss Universe, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant was established in 2016 and the foundation held in 2012 and is considered the biggest pageant in Sierra Leone.
Miss Supranational Vietnam is a beauty pageant in the Vietnam was first held in 2018 to look for Vietnamese representatives at the Miss Supranational competition.
Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty pageant, started in 2009, and with most contests held in Poland. A parallel male contest, Mister Supranational, was launched in 2016, also in Poland. Along with Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Grand International, it is one of the Grand Slam beauty pageants.
Miss Supranational 2019 was the 11th Miss Supranational pageant. It was held on December 6, 2019, at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Poland. Valeria Vázquez of Puerto Rico crowned Anntonia Porsild of Thailand at the end of the event.

Miss Grand International 2019 was the seventh edition of Miss Grand International pageant, was held on 25 October 2019, at Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela, where for the first time in the pageant history the host country delegate won the crown. The nineteen-year-old Valentina Figuera was the first Venezuelan representative to win the title since the establishment of the contest. As was normal for the event, she was crowned by her immediate predecessor, Clara Sosa of Paraguay.
Miss Grand Australia is an annual national female beauty pageant in Australia founded in 2014 by Nadasha Zhang, aiming to select the country's representatives to participate at its parent international pageant, Miss Grand International. Its first two editions were held concurrently with Miss Supranational Australia before being held separately after the license was transferred to Dani Fitch in 2017.
Miss Grand Guadeloupe is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Guadeloupe representatives who competed at the national event, Miss Grand France, or an international stage of Miss Grand International. The title was first awarded in 2013 to a 22-year-old from Le Moule, Orphelie Morti, who then competed in the international event in Thailand. In 2013 and from 2017 to 2019, the right to send Guadeloupe representatives to Miss Grand International belonged to the national pageant of Miss International Guadeloupe, headed by Georges Nandan.
