Miss Grand Chile 2023 was the fifth edition of the Miss Grand Chile pageant, held on June 18, 2023, at the Teatro ICTUS in Santiago de Chile. [1] [2] Six contestants, who qualified for the national final through a preliminary audition, competed for the title, of whom, a 27-year-old model from Las Condes, Paula Antonia Henríquez, was announced the winner, while Camila Joscelyn of Santiago Centro and Francisca Ramírez Matta of La Reina were named the runners-up. The winner of the contest, Paula Henríquez, will later represent Chile at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant, to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on October 25 this year. [5] [6]

Contestants

Initially, twelve candidates confirmed their participation, but half of them, including the representatives of Arica, Curico, Ñuñoa, Machalí, Puerto Montt, and Viña del Mar, withdrew from the competition, making the finalized total of six contestants, five of them reside in the Santiago Metropolitan Region.

Miss Grand Chile is a national female beauty pageant in Chile that has been held annually since 2016, founded by Boris Cabrera of Latin Scouting y CBC Producciones, aiming to select country representatives to compete in its parent international contest, Miss Grand International. In 2019, the pageant license was consigned to Keno Manzur, and subsequently transferred to Cristian Chanaca and Gabriel Alfonsino in 2021, Chanaca later withdrew from the director team in 2023.

Miss Grand Chile 2017 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Chile beauty pageant, held on September 22, 2017, at the Centro de Eventos Music Palace, Talca. Nine contestants representing nine cities competed for the title, of whom the representative of La Florida, Nicole Ebnerand, was named the winner. She then represented Chile at Miss Grand International 2017 held on October 25 in Vietnam, but got a non-placement.

Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2023 was the second edition of the Miss Grand Dominican Republic pageant, held on August 5, 2023, at the Cibao Grand Theatre, Santiago de los Caballeros. Candidates from eighteen provinces and municipalities of the country competed for the right to represent the country at its parent international stage, Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25. Of whom, a 21-year-old biology student representing Santiago, Skarxi Marie, was selected the winner and was crowned by the 2022 titleholder, Jearmanda Ramos.
