Miss Grand United States 2016 was the first edition of the Miss Grand USA pageant, held on May 28, 2016 at Leonard Nimoy Thalia, Symphony Space, New York City. [1] Thirteen national delegates competed for the title, of whom the representative of New York, Michelle Leon, was announced the winner. Miss Universe is an annual international major beauty pageant that is run by a Thailand and Mexican-based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants.

Miss Teen USA 2019 was the 37th Miss Teen USA pageant. It was held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, on April 28, 2019, and was hosted by Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez and Tim Tialdo. Hailey Colborn of Kansas crowned her successor Kaliegh Garris of Connecticut at the end of the event. This was the first time in the history of Miss Teen USA winning back-to-back titles by African Americans.
Miss USA 2020 was the 69th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 9, 2020. Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Allie LaForce served as hosts, while Cheslie Kryst and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators, and Haley Reinhart performed. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina crowned Asya Branch of Mississippi as her successor at the end of the event. Branch is the second consecutive African American to win the title, and the fourth one in five years. This is Mississippi's first win at the Miss USA pageant. Branch represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and placed in the Top 21.

Miss Grand International also known as Miss Grand is an international beauty pageant franchise that is based in Thailand. It consists of the annual national pageant Miss Grand Thailand, as well as the international competition Miss Grand International, to which participating rights are licensed to organizers in other countries. The franchise has been owned and run by a Thai stock exchange-listed company with the same name, also known as MGI PCL, since its inception in 2013, with Nawat Itsaragrisil as the president.
Evelyn Abena Akuaba Appiah is a Ghanaian–American singer, model and beauty queen who was crowned Queen Beauty Universe 2016 and Miss Grand International 2020. She was appointed as Miss Grand USA and became the first Black woman to win the Miss Grand International crown. She previously represented Ghana in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants but lost in Miss Universe 2014 and Miss Earth 2019.

Miss Grand Dominican Republic is a female national beauty pageant in the Dominican Republic, founded in 2016 by a Dominican American business person, Chantel Martinez, with the aim of selecting a country representative to participate in its parent pageant, Miss Grand International. After Chantel Martinez ended the partnership with the Miss Grand International in 2019, the competition franchise was taken over by different local organizers, such as the Iconic Model Search Inc. of Joe Amhed (2022) and Misses of Dominican Republic-related personels.

Contestants from seventeen U.S. states competed for the title, of whom the representative of California, Taylor Kessler, was announced the winner. She then represented the United States at Miss Grand International 2017 in Vietnam, but did not qualify to the top 10 finalists.

Contestants from twenty-eight U.S. states competed for the title, of whom the representative of Nevada, Emily Irene Delgado, was named the winner. She then represented the United States at Miss Grand International 2019 in Venezuela on 25 October, but got a non-placement.
Miss Grand United States 2021 was the fourth edition of the Miss Grand USA pageant, held at Joe's Live Rosemont, Rosemont, Illinois on June 20, 2021. Eighteen state representatives, either chosen through state pageants or national online casting, competed for the title, of whom the representative from North Carolina, Madison Callaghan, was announced the winner. She later represented the United States at Miss Grand International 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand, but got a non-placement.

Twelve candidates chosen through state pageant or national casting competed for the title, of whom the representative of Colorado, Emily DeMure, was announced the winner. She then represented the country in the Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia, but got a non-placement.
