Miss Grand International 2014 was the second edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, [1] [2] held on 7 October 2014 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. [1] [3] [4] Contestants from eighty-five countries and territories competed for the title, [1] [5] of whom the representative of Cuba, Daryanne Lees, was announced the winner and received a reward of 40,000 USD cash. [6] [7] Meanwhile, the representatives of Australia, Canada, Colombia, and Ethiopia were named the runners-up. [5] [7] [8]
The pageant's grand final featured a live performance of Miss Grand International 2013– third runner-up, Ali Forbes, [1] [9] and was broadcast nationwide via the Channel 7, [1] [10] with two Thai television personalities, Matthew Deane and Sonia Couling, as the event's MCs. [1]
Initially, more than ninety candidates were confirmed to participate, [11] withdrawals included, Soumia Benmebrouk of Algeria, [12] Ané Reynolds of South Africa, [13] and Dijana Cvijetic of Switzerland. [14]
The pageant press launch was on 18 November 2014, at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, after the arrival of all candidates. [11] At the event, the pageant schedule was announced, with activities running from 19 November to 7 October in three different cities, including Sukhothai, [11] [15] Nakhon Pathom, [10] and Bangkok. [11]
As with the previous edition, the pageant had four main events, including the swimsuit contest, held on 23 November at the Sukhothai Heritage Resort, Sukhothai; [16] [17] the national costume contest, held on 28 November at Sampran Riverside Theater, Nakhon Pathom; [10] and the preliminary and final rounds in Bangkok on 5 and 7 October at the Indoor Stadium Huamark. Of the eighty-five participating candidates, only eight were elected through Miss Grand National pageants, including the representatives of Albania, [19] Australia, [20] Botswana, [21] Brazil, [22] Curaçao, [23] Kosovo, [24] Philippines, [25] and Thailand. [26] Five candidates were the main winners of other pageants, including Xue Han from Miss China 2014, [27] Bahareh Heidari from the Miss Iran 2014 online pageant, [28] Dajana Laketic – Face of Malta 2014 winner, [29] Jasy ln Tan from Miss Singapore Islandia 2014, [30] and Tashana Losche from Miss Tropical Beauties Suriname 2014. [31] The remaining candidates were either the runners-up in other national pageants or directly picked by national directors without competing in national stages. [2]

In the grand final round held on 7 October, after an introduction, twenty contestants, who were selected through the preliminary round held on 5 October as well as all pre-pageant scorings, qualified for the top 20, in which each of the qualified candidates competed in the swimsuit. [9] [34] The score from this round, together with all previous accumulation scores, determined the top 10 finalists who then competed against each other in the evening gown and speech session. [9] [34] Based on accumulation scores, the final five were selected to continue in the question and answer portion, where the winner and runners-up were determined. [34]
85 contestants competed for the title.
Janelee Marcus Chaparro Colón, known professionally as Janelee Chaparro, is a Puerto Rican model and beauty queen who represented Puerto Rico at Miss World 2012 where she finished in the Top 30 and at Miss Grand International 2013 where she became the first winner in the pageant's history.
Daryanne Lees Garcia is a Cuban-Puerto Rican model and beauty queen who represented Cuba at Miss Grand International 2014 where she won the title.
Miss Grand Thailand is a Thai beauty pageant that has been held annually since 2013 to select who represents Thailand at Miss Grand International. The pageant has been owned by Nawat Itsaragrisil since its inception and was previously broadcast on Channel 7 from 2013 – 2019 then instead switched to be aired on One 31 after the pageant ends its partnership with the Channel 7 in 2020.
Miss Grand Thailand 2022 is the ninth edition of the Miss Grand Thailand beauty contest, held on 30 April 2022 at Show DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The coronation was initially scheduled in August 2021, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was rescheduled twice, first in late-2021, and later to 2022. At the end of the event, the appointed Miss Grand Thailand 2021, Indy Johnson of Pathum Thani, crowned her successor, Engfa Waraha of Bangkok, a former contestant on the 2018/2019 The Voice Thailand, making her the first representative of the capital city to win the title. Engfa represented the country at Miss Grand International 2022, where she placed as 1st Runner-Up.
Miss Grand Thailand 2023 was the 10th edition of the Miss Grand Thailand pageant, held at Show DC Hall in Bangkok on 29 April 2023, while the initial pageant activities was decided to be done in the province of Chiang Mai. Engfa Waraha of Bangkok crowned Thaweeporn Phingchamrat of Chumphon at the end of the event. She will represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam.
Miss Grand Thailand 2024 was the 11th edition of the Miss Grand Thailand pageant, held on April 6, 2024, at the organizer-owned hall, MGI Hall, located in the Bravo BKK Mall, Bangkok. Representatives of seventy-seven administrative divisions of the country competed for the title, of whom a 27-year-old Thai-Singaporean beauty influencer and entrepreneur representing Phuket, Malin Chara-anan, was announced the winner. Malin was crowned by Miss Grand Thailand 2023, Thaweeporn Phingchamrat of Chumphon, and will represent Thailand at the international pageant, Miss Grand International 2024, to be held on 25 October 2024 in Myanmar.
Miss Grand International 2013 was the first edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on 19 November 2013 at the IMPACT Arena in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, Thailand. Contestants from seventy-one countries and territories competed for the title, of whom the representative of Puerto Rico, Janelee Chaparro, was announced the winner and received a reward of 30,000 USD in cash. Meanwhile, the representatives of Australia, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and Slovakia were named the runners-up.
