TV3 is a commercial television channel targeted at an Estonian language audience owned by Providence Equity Partners.
It was founded in 1996 after two recently established television stations, EVTV and RTV, were merged.
TV3 has two sister channels. TV6 is a television channel targeted at entertainment television channel in Estonia, launched in 2002. TV8 is an entertainment television channel, launched as a digital sister channel to TV3 in 2009.
For several years, TV3 had better ratings than the other private channel, Kanal 2. The situation changed in 2006, when Kanal 2 made some big changes in their programme. TV3 ratings fell and shows had problems getting enough viewers to reach the Top 10 of the week. Later that year, programme director Jüri Pihel left TV3.
In 2009 all Baltic TV3 channels introduced new red-white visual identity, logo and slogan. The slogan was "Tere tulemast koju!" (Welcome home!). News programme "Seitsmesed uudised" (News at 7) was discontinued and changed with a new "TV3 uudised" (TV3 News), which had the same format as Latvian and Lithuanian TV3 News programmes, the program has been updated again in 2023.
In January 2011 Mikko Silvennoinen, a Finnish television host, journalist and producer, was hired as the new programme director. In February TV3 changed their news programme format and "Seitsmesed uudised" was brought back. On 15 August, TV3 once again changed their visual identity and logo from red to purple, which was so far used in Norwegian, Danish, Hungarian and Slovenian TV3s. Also a new slogan was introduced: "Rohkem elu, rohkem meelelahutust!" (More life, more entertainment!).
TV3, as with other channels of the All Media Baltics group in the Baltic states, switched to HD broadcasting on 26 July 2018. [2]

Modern Times Group (MTG) is a digital entertainment company based in Stockholm, Sweden. It formed from the media holdings of investment company Kinnevik, which in 1997 was distributed to the company stockholders. It is a strategic and operational investment holding company, managing a portfolio including gaming companies InnoGames, Ninja Kiwi and Kongregate, and digital network company Zoomin.TV.
Viasat was a satellite and pay television brand, co-owned by the Swedish media group Viaplay Group in the Nordic countries, Antenna Group in Hungary, and by Viasat World internationally. Founded in Sweden in 1991, Viasat has previously been owned by Modern Times Group. The channels of both companies were broadcast from London.
Three, stylised as +HR=E, is a New Zealand nationwide television channel. Launched on 26 November 1989 as TV3, it was New Zealand's first privately owned television channel. The channel currently broadcasts nationally in digital free-to-air form via the state-owned Kordia on terrestrial and satellite. Vodafone also carries the channel for their cable subscribers in Wellington and Christchurch. It previously broadcast nationally on analogue television until that was switched off on 1 December 2013.

TV3 Plus is a Baltic pay television channel owned by the TV3 Group broadcasting to the Russian-speaking community in the Baltic states. It was launched on 1 November 2003 in Latvia.
TV6 Latvia is an entertainment television channel broadcasting to Latvia featuring series, music, fashion and sports. It was launched on April 22, 2007. The programmes broadcast on the channel include The Simpsons, United States of Tara, Las Vegas, Harper's Island, American Idol, Survivor, My name is Earl, Family Guy, Shark, CSI: Miami, The Office, Sex and the City and more.
Digital terrestrial television in Estonia, was officially launched on 15 December 2006, when the operator Zuum TV launched its pay service on two multiplexes. Transmissions are made with MPEG-4 AVC compression using the DVB-T standard. A DVB-T2 standard-based network has been created for HD-quality TV picture transmission.

Go3 Sport is a group of sports television channels available in the Baltic States. The channel was launched 7 January 2009 as Viasat Sport Baltic. Along with Viasat Golf it replaced Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3 for viewers on the Viasat platform in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
AS Postimees Grupp, formerly known as AS Postimees and AS Eesti Meedia, is an Estonian media holding company headquartered in Tallinn. The company is currently owned by MM Group, having acquired the half of the company from Norwegian company Schibsted in 2013 and bought the remaining half in 2015. The group is one of the largest media group in the Baltics. Among the Group's activities are creation of print and online media, production of television and radio, e-commerce.
First Baltic channel was a Baltic pay television channel based on the largest Russian Channel One to broadcast its programs in the Baltic states. It was launched on 4 September 2002. The channel had also broadcast the local news programme Latvian time since June 2003. The channel was closed in Latvia on 26 October 2021 due to misinformation about COVID-19 and two other violations. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, its license was revoked and the channel was effectively banned in all three Baltic States.
