Miss Grand Australia 2024 was the 8th edition of the Miss Grand Australia pageant, held in Sydney on August 3, 2024, [1] [2] [3] at the Sofitel Darling Harbour. [1] [2] [4] Twenty-one contestants from 5 states and territories of Australia competed for the title. [3] [5] [6] Of whom a 25-year-old registered dental nurse from Queensland, Paitin Powell, was named the winner. [4] Paitin will represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2024 pageant, held in Thailand on October 25, 2024. [2]

In cooperation with Destiny Rescue, all finalists were encouraged to raise funds available to support the campaign against child sexual exploitation and human trafficking. [1] [4] [7] The contestant elected by the organization based on the campaign activities was awarded "Woman of Impact" and automatically qualified for the top 5 finalists. [8]

Miss Grand Namibia was a Namibian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by Magnolia Kuhanga, the chairperson of the Windhoek-based organizer, Magnolia Events Management. The pageant was declared defunct in late 2018 after the incorporation between the aforementioned national organizer and Miss Grand International Limited was not extended and no other domestic organizer was interested in the license. Originally, the winners of the contest, which was held three times—in 2015, 2016, and 2018—were expected to represent Namibia on its international parent platform, Miss Grand International. However, all three winners withdrew from the international pageant for unspecified reasons; only one of them was replaced by an appointed representative.

Miss Grand Australia 2023 was the seventh edition of the Miss Grand Australia pageant, held on July 15, 2023, at the RACV City Club located in the capital of Victoria state, Greater Melbourne. Thirty candidates, who have qualified for the national pageant through an online profile screening performed from February to March, competed for the title, and a 28-year-old ADHDer and disability support worker from Victoria, Mikaela-Rose Fowler, was announced the winner. Her court consisted of four runners-up including Paitin Louise Powell 1st runner-up, Brooke Murray 2nd runner-up, Selina McCloskey 3rd runner-up, and Alecia McCallum 4th runner-up. Fowler will later represent the country at the parent international stage, Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25.

Miss Universe Nepal 2024 was the 8th edition of the Miss Universe Nepal pageant and the first edition under Global Glamour Venture organization. National Director Sangita Puri crowned Sampada Ghimire of Bhaktapur at the end of the event who will represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. The Miss Nepal crown was revealed by Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023 of Nicaragua.
