The 1900 Summer Olympics, today officially known as the Games of the II Olympiad and also known as Paris 1900, were an international multi-sport event that took place in Paris, France, from 14 May to 28 October 1900. No opening or closing ceremonies were held.
Sumner Paine was an American shooter. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens.
Károly Takács was the first shooter to win two Olympic gold medals in the 25 metre rapid fire pistol event, both with his left hand after his right hand was seriously injured. He is the third known physically disabled athlete to have competed in the Olympic Games after George Eyser in 1904 and Olivér Halassy in 1928, followed by Liz Hartel in 1952, Neroli Fairhall in 1984 and Oscar Pistorius in 2012.
Jasna Šekarić is a Serbian sport shooter, considered as one of the most successful female shooters in ISSF history. She has won a total of five Olympic medals: one gold, three silvers and one bronze. She has also won three World Championship gold medals in the 10 m air pistol, in addition to five European Championship gold medals she won in the 10 m air pistol and 25 m pistol. In 1992, she lost the Olympic gold medal to Marina Logvinenko despite having the same score. She is one of only six shooters to compete in at least seven Olympic Games.

Honorary Captain Vijay Kumar Sharma, AVSM, SM is an Indian sport shooter. He won the silver medal in the individual 25 metre rapid fire pistol event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Kumar hails from Barsar village of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh and is a retired Subedar Major in the Dogra Regiment Indian Army, who was later promoted to Honorary Captain Rank. Vijay Kumar is supported by the Olympic Gold Quest initiative. He is the only Indian to have won a medal at 25m rapid Fire Pistol. He has been posted at Indian Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) Mhow since 2003 where he is being coached by the Russian Pavel Smirnov.
Albania first participated at the Summer Olympic Games in 1972. They missed the next four games, three of them for political reasons due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott, 1984 Summer Olympics boycott and 1988 boycotts, but returned for the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics. They have appeared in all games since then. They made their Winter Olympic Games debut in 2006. Albania normally competes in events that include swimming, athletics, weightlifting, shooting, and wrestling. The country has not yet won an Olympic medal. Along with Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malta and Monaco, Albania is one of five current European participants that have never won an Olympic medal. They have been represented by the Albanian National Olympic Committee since 1972.
Trinidad and Tobago sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Its participation in the Beijing games marked its eighteenth Olympic appearance and fifteenth Summer Olympic appearance since its debut at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, excluding its joint participation with Jamaica and Barbados in 1960 as the West Indies Federation. With 28 athletes, more Trinidadians had competed at the Olympics than in any other single Olympic Games in its history before Beijing. Athletes representing Trinidad and Tobago advanced past the preliminary or qualification rounds in twelve events and reached the final rounds in four of those events. Of those four events, silver medals were won in the men's 100 meters and in the men's 4x100 meters relay. The latter was upgraded to gold due to one member of the quartet that crossed the line first, Nesta Carter, testing positive for a banned substance, resulting in their disqualification. The nation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony that year was swimmer and Athens medalist George Bovell.
The U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) is a military unit whose primary mission is to support nationally and internationally ranked soldiers in participating on the U.S. Olympic team. The program is headquartered at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Richard Walden Mayo was an American Army general and athlete. He was an officer in the United States Army from 1926 to 1956, saw combat in World War II and the Korean War, and was commander of the 17th Field Artillery Group, the 5th Field Artillery Group, and Fort Stewart. He retired with the rank of brigadier general. While in the Army he competed in modern pentathlon at the 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics, winning the bronze medal in 1932. After retiring from the Army, Mayo was a city manager in three municipalities and a community leader in Boca Raton, Florida.
Oleh Petrovych Omelchuk is a Ukrainian sport shooter who competes in the men's 10 metre air pistol and the men's 50 metre pistol. He is the 2014 European 10 m pistol champion.
Vyacheslav Podlesnyy is a Kazakhstani sport shooter who competes in the men's 10 metre air pistol. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he finished 40th in the qualifying round, failing to make the cut for the final. He also competed in the 50 metre pistol event, finishing 34th and also not qualifying for the final.
Bobana Veličković was a Serbian sport shooter. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 10 metre air pistol. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 10 metre air pistol and the Women's 25 metre pistol, finishing in 7th place in 10m.
Tanyaporn Prucksakorn is a Thai sport shooter who has competed at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. At all three Olympics, she competed in the 10 m air pistol and 25 m pistol events. She has been a competitive shooter since 2003, winning two World Cup silver medals, both at the Munich event.
Sandra Uptagrafft is an American sport shooter. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 10 metre air pistol, and finished in 28th place. She also competed in the Women's 25 metre pistol event and also finished 28th in that. She has won gold and silver medals in the Pan American Games.
Leuris Pupo Requejo is a Cuban shooter who has represented his nation at four Summer Olympic Games.
Ildar Hafizov is an Uzbek-American Greco-Roman wrestler of Tatar heritage, who competes in the featherweight category. Before his change of domicile to the United States in 2014, Hafizov represented his native Uzbekistan at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and has picked up the silver medal in his respective division at the 2011 Asian Wrestling Championships, coincidentally in his home city Tashkent, losing out to Kyrgyzstan's Arsen Eraliev.
Hans-Jörg Meyer is a German sport shooter. He won a silver medal in the men's 50 m free pistol at the 2009 European Shooting Championships in Osijek, Croatia, accumulating a score of 653.8 targets.
Nickolaus Mowrer is an American sport shooter. He is a three-time NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Champion in the free pistol (FP), a 2011 U.S. pistol shooting champion, and also, a resident athlete of the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, under his personal coach Sergey Luzov. At the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mowrer missed out on a bronze medal by 5.5 points, finishing in 4th behind Júlio Almeida of Brazil in the men's free pistol, with a total score of 634.4.
Arseny Borrero is a Cuban sport shooter. He earned a silver medal in the men's free pistol at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and was selected to compete for the Cuban squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing fortieth in the process. Throughout his sporting career, Borrero trained as a member of the shooting team for Havana City Sport Club under his personal coach Narciso López.
