Charles David Baldwin [1] (born March 22, 1955) is an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at California State University, Northridge from 1995 to 1996 and at San Jose State University from 1997 to 2000. Baldwin was also the interim head football coach at Colorado State University for 2014 Las Vegas Bowl.
Baldwin has served as a graduate assistant coach at Cal State Northridge, the offensive coordinator at Cincinnati, and the offensive coordinator at Baylor. Following San Jose State, he served as the offensive coordinator at Michigan State, New Mexico and Utah State.
Baldwin was the head football coach at Cal State Northridge from 1995 to 1996, compiling a record of 9–12. He was also the head football coach at San Jose State.
During his tenure as head coach at San Jose State from 1997 to 2000, he had three straight wins over Stanford (including in their Rose Bowl season of 1999). In 1997, SJSU upset No. 24 Air Force, (25–22) their first win over a ranked opponent since 1990. In 2000, SJSU beat ninth-ranked TCU (27–24) ending their 12-game winning streak. Also in 2000, SJSU earned a mark of 7–5, their first winning season in eight years. His overall record at San Jose State University was 18–27.
Baldwin served as the offensive coordinator for the Colorado State Rams of Colorado State University from 2012 until 2014. He also was the interim head coach for the Rams during the 2014 Las Vegas Bowl, following Jim McElwain's departure for the University of Florida. On December 20, 2014, following the Bowl Game, Baldwin along with the entire coaching staff received their termination papers.
In 2015, Baldwin joined Oregon State as offensive coordinator and tight ends coach under Gary Andersen. The following season, Baldwin left his duties as offensive coordinator and became the inside receivers coach. He later became tight ends coach in 2017. [2] Baldwin and other assistant coaches were fired on November 26, 2017 as Oregon State continued its coaching search, over a month after Andersen resigned and Cory Hall took over as interim head coach. Baldwin is married and has three children. [2]
In 2015, Baldwin disclosed he has been drinking 16 to 18 cans of Diet Coke a day for over 15 years. [4]

William Ernest Walsh was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons.
Robert Michael Bellotti is an American college football analyst for ESPN and ABC. He was with the University of Oregon's football program for over 20 years serving as offensive coordinator for six years, head coach for 14 years, and athletic director for one year. Bellotti is the winningest coach in Oregon football history and is credited with building the program into a major football power. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
Robert Anthony Toledo is an American former college football coach and player. Toledo served as the head coach at University of California, Riverside (1974–1975), the University of the Pacific (1979–1982), the University of California, Los Angeles (1996–2002), and Tulane University (2007–2011). He resigned as head football coach at Tulane on October 18, 2011. On January 10, 2013, he was named offensive coordinator at San Diego State University. Toledo retired from coaching after the 2014 season.
Kent Lex Baer is an American college football coach. He most recently was the defensive coordinator at the University of Montana, a position he held from 2018 to 2022. Baer served as the interim head football coach at the University of Notre Dame for one game in 2004 and at San Jose State University for one game in 2012.
The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I FBS college football. It was part of the Western Athletic Conference until July 2012, when the team joined the Mountain West Conference. From 2000 until 2013, the team was known simply as the Warriors. The Rainbow Warriors were the third team from a nonautomatic qualifier conference to play in a BCS bowl game, playing the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2008 Sugar Bowl and lost 41–10.
Cory Hall is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Edison High School in Fresno, California. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 1999 NFL draft. He played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Hall also played for the Atlanta Falcons. In 2017, Hall served as Oregon State's interim head football coach for six games after Gary Andersen abruptly resigned.
Marcus Cole Arroyo is an American football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Arizona State. He served as the head coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) from 2020 to 2022. Arroyo played college football as quarterback at San Jose State University.
The San Jose State Spartans football team represents San José State University in NCAA Division I FBS college football as a member of the Mountain West Conference. Since its first regular season in 1898, the team has produced over 90 All-America team members, won 18 conference championships, and sent 139 players to the NFL, including Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Bill Walsh and Dick Vermeil. The Spartans head coach is Ken Niumatalolo.
Gary Lee Andersen is an American football coach who was most recently head football coach at Utah State University. Andersen has also been the head football coach of Southern Utah (2003), Wisconsin (2013–2014), and Oregon State (2015–2017). He served three years as the defensive coordinator at Utah, where he coached the 2008 Utes team that went undefeated and beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to finish the season ranked second in the nation. He is currently an analyst at Weber State.
Lyle Moevao is a former professional and college football quarterback for the Oregon State Beavers football team. He played professionally in France for the La Courneuve Flash and Japan. Moevao was the starting quarterback for Oregon State for the 2008 season, throwing for 2,534 yards and 19 touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 128.41. He also helped the Beavers to a 3–0 victory in the 2008 Sun Bowl against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
Michael Eric Johnson is an American football coach and former quarterback, and current wide receivers coach for Syracuse. He was the interim head coach for the UCLA Bruins football team after serving as their offensive coordinator. Previously, he spent two years with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. Johnson was hired along with former offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye by San Francisco head coach Mike Singletary on February 6, 2009. Raye was fired on September 27, 2010, and Johnson was promoted. Beginning in 2014 he served for three seasons as head coach of The King's Academy Knights in Sunnyvale, California, before being hired as wide receiver coach by the University of Oregon in 2017.
George Michael MacIntyre is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at FIU. MacIntyre previously served as the head football coach at San Jose State from 2010 to 2012 and at Colorado from 2013 to 2018.
Justin Draper Wilcox is an American college football coach and former player. Since 2017, he has been the head football coach of the California Golden Bears. In eight seasons at the helm of Cal football, he has achieved an overall losing record of 37-43.
Omon Fitzgerald Hill is a former American football player and coach and college administrator. Hill served as the head football coach at San Jose State University from 2001 to 2004, compiling a record of 14–33. He was the president of Arkansas Baptist College from 2006 to 2016.
The 2012 San Jose State Spartans football team represented San Jose State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans were led by third year head coach Mike MacIntyre and played their home games at Spartan Stadium. They were members of the Western Athletic Conference. This was the Spartans' final season as members of the WAC. They joined the Mountain West Conference on July 1, 2013. They finished the season 11–2, 5–1 in WAC play to finish in second place. They were invited to the Military Bowl where they defeated Bowling Green.
Ronald Allen Caragher is an American former college football coach. He was previously the head coach at the University of San Diego and San Jose State. Originally from Morgan Hill, California, Caragher played college football at UCLA and later became an assistant coach for UCLA football, first as a graduate assistant from 1994 to 1995, then as wide receivers coach from 1996 to 2002. From 2003 to 2006, Caragher served as running backs coach for Kentucky and was part of the 2006 Music City Bowl championship coaching staff.
Matt Lubick is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator for the University of Nevada. He was previously the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He was named the 2012 Football Scoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year while coaching at Duke University.
The 2013 San Jose State Spartans football team represented San José State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans were led by first year head coach Ron Caragher and played their home games at Spartan Stadium. The Spartans were first-year members of the Mountain West Conference in the West Division. They finished the season 6–6, 5-3 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for third place in the West Division. Despite being bowl eligible, the Spartans were not invited to a bowl game.
Michael Gunnar William Sanford is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is the former interim head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. He played college football at Boise State from 2000 to 2004. He then served as the head coach of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (2017–2018).
Brent Munger Brennan is an American college football coach who is currently the head football coach at the University of Arizona. Brennan was the head football coach at San Jose State University from 2017 to 2023.
