History
The first school opened in Davidson in 1903. The teacher, Harry Ketcheson, was paid for secretarial and janitorial services in addition to teaching. While younger students had continual use of this building during this time, older students used a variety of locations until the Board of Trustees chose a permanent location.
A two-story brick building was constructed in 1909 to provide room for all the students. By 1916, the older students had to return to using the original building to make room for the increasing student population.
The brick school burned to the ground in December 1916, resulting in the younger students displacing the older students once again. Senior classes were held for a time in the Town Hall.
In 1919, another school was constructed with room for K-6 on the first floor, and 7-12 on the second floor. It was built by Poole Construction, which is today known as PCL. It was probably designed by Regina architects Storey and Van Egmond.
The student population peaked in the 1960s and 1970s at around 250 students. During this era, Davidson Raiders won multiple provincial championships in football and volleyball.
Today, Davidson High has around 250 students from Grades K -12, with a teaching staff of 10.25 and a support staff of 6.
Despite a reduced enrolment due to rural depopulation and lower birth rates, DHS offers a variety of extracurricular activities. Athletics includes golf, volleyball, basketball, curling, badminton, and track and field. Science and drama clubs provide other optional activities. The year's events and activities are highlighted annually in the DHS Yearbook.
Davidson High students are noted for their high level of participation in sports and an aptitude for creative writing. The school also had developed a tradition for having an active outdoor education program.
Grand View University is a private liberal arts university in Des Moines, Iowa. Founded in 1896 and affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the university enrolls approximately 2,000 students and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Brockenhurst College is a large tertiary college situated in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. Co-educational since the 1920s, Brockenhurst College accepts students over the age of 16 or year 12 students, whichever occurs first due to safeguarding policies.
Dominican University (DU) is a private Roman Catholic university in River Forest, Illinois, affiliated with the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters. It offers bachelor's and master's degrees, certificate programs, and a PhD in information studies. Dominican University offers more than 50 majors in the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and 20 programs in five graduate academic divisions.
The Yanco Agricultural High School, abbreviated as YAHS, is a government-funded co-educational academically selective and specialist secondary boarding school, located in Yanco in the Leeton Shire local government area, in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia.
Aurora University (AU) is a private university in Aurora, Illinois. In addition to its main campus, AU offers programs online, at its George Williams College campus in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and at the Woodstock Center in downtown Woodstock, Illinois. Approximately 6,200 students are enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs at Aurora University.
A. J. Dimond High School (DHS) is a public four-year high school in Anchorage, Alaska, and is a part of the Anchorage School District. It has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Dimond serves students in the Sand Lake, Kincaid, and Bayshore areas of suburban Anchorage, and had an enrollment of 1,709 as of November 25, 2016.
Bethel Park High School, also called BPHS, is a four-year, comprehensive high school located in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, with an enrollment of 1,391 students in grades 9–12 for the 2018–2019 school year. Its curriculum includes ten Advanced Placement Program courses, 14 honors courses and four foreign language programs. The four foreign languages offered include Spanish, Latin, French, and German. Its mascot is the Black Hawk.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is a high school located in the western part of Old Oakville in Oakville, Ontario. St. Thomas Aquinas is a member of the Halton Catholic District School Board. There are over 1100 students attending the school in grades 9 through 12.
Breathitt County High School is a public high school located in the city of Jackson, Kentucky nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The 2009-2010 enrollment is around 520 students. The school colors are royal blue and white. The current principal is Daphne Noble, and the current assistant principal is Bonnie Lively.
Chesterfield St Helena School, also known as Chesterfield Girls' Grammar School and St Helena School, Chesterfield, was an all-girls high school in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, teaching 11- to 18-year-old girls between 1892 and its closure in 1991. The building now serves as an Area Education Office for Derbyshire County Council.
The University of Mount Olive is a private university in Mount Olive, North Carolina. Chartered in 1951, the university is sponsored by the Original Free Will Baptist Convention and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. A member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas, its sports teams compete as the Mount Olive Trojans.
Davidson-Davie Community College (DDCC) is a public community college with campuses in Davidson County and Davie County, North Carolina. It awards certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in more than 50 programs. As a member of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), between the North Carolina Community College System and the University of North Carolina (UNC) System, credits earned at DCCC transfer to the university system. Davidson-Davie Community College also provides basic skill training and General Educational Development (GED) programs to the public.
Billerica Memorial High School (BMHS), formerly Howe High School, is a public secondary school in the town of Billerica, Massachusetts. It is the only high school under the purview of the Billerica Public Schools district, and serves approximately 1,600 students between grades 8 and 12. The school is supervised by a district superintendent who reports to an elected school committee for the town. As of January 2023, Thomas Murphy, an alumnus of BMHS, is the school's principal. The administration consists of assistant principals responsible for a specific grade-year. In athletics, Billerica's arch-rival is Chelmsford High School. The colors of BMHS are green and white, and the school's emblem is the Indian Head.
Renfrew Collegiate Institute (RCI) is a secondary school in the town of Renfrew, Ontario, and is part of the Renfrew County District School Board. Located at 184 Bonnechere Street, South Renfrew Collegiate Institute is one of two high schools in Renfrew. In 2015, Renfrew Collegiate Institute ranked 558 in Ontario Secondary Schools, according to Fraser Institute. Feeder schools include Queen Elizabeth Public School, Central Public School, and Admaston Township Public School.

Townsville Central State School is a heritage-listed state school and former prison at 4-6 Warburton Street, North Ward, City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Francis Drummond Greville Stanley and built from 1877 to 1880 by J Rooney. It is also known as the former Townsville Gaol and Residence of the Police Inspector. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 1 October 2003.
