Dawn Rogers is an American college athletics administrator, currently serving as Deputy Athletics Director at Southern Methodist University. She previously served as athletic director for Xavier University from 2004 to 2006. [1] [2] [3] [4] She has also served as a deputy athletic director at Baylor University from 2017 to 2023; as an associate athletic director at Xavier University from 1998 to 2004 and at Arizona State University from 2006 to 2015; and as assistant athletic director at the University of Akron from 1989 to 1998. From 2015 to 2017, Rogers worked as the executive director of a committee organizing the 2017 NCAA men's basketball Final Four, which was held at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] Rogers graduated from Ithaca College, where she lettered in volleyball and track and field, with a bachelor's degree in 1986, and from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a master's degree in 1987. [11] Rogers was named Deputy Athletics Director at Baylor University on June 5, 2017. [12] Rogers was named Deputy Athletics Director at Southern Methodist University in January of 2023. [13]

The Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represents Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference, and are coached by Sean Miller. Xavier has appeared in the NCAA tournament 29 times, 16 times in the 18 tournaments between 2001 and 2018. On March 11, 2018, Xavier earned its first ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Xavier is also a two-time winner of the NIT, with their most recent championship coming in 2022.

Daniel "Sonny" Dykes is an American football coach, and a former college baseball player. He is currently the head football coach at Texas Christian University (TCU), and previously served in the same role at Southern Methodist University (SMU) from 2018 to 2021, the University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2016, and Louisiana Tech University from 2010 to 2012. In his first season at TCU, he led the Horned Frogs to a win in the semifinal and an appearance in the National Championship game.

The 2009 Baylor Bears football team represented Baylor University in the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Art Briles. The Bears played their home games at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. Baylor finished the season with a record of 4–8 and 1–7 in Big 12 play.

The 1950 Salad Bowl was a college football bowl game played between Xavier University and Arizona State College at Montgomery Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona. Xavier entered the game with a 9–1 record, best in the state of Ohio, and favored over 7–2 Arizona State, which had the best record in Arizona. Xavier defeated Arizona State 33-21 before 20,000 fans, then the most fans who had ever watched a football game in the state of Arizona. This marked Xavier's first and only appearance in a post-season bowl game.

The Lamar Cardinals basketball team represents Lamar University in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The Cardinals currently play in the Southland Conference following a return from the Western Athletic Conference on July 11, 2022. They were one of four programs, all from Texas, that left the Southland Conference on July 1, 2021, to join the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Lamar left the Southland Conference for the second time, having initially joined at the league's formation in 1963, left in 1987, and returned in 1999. After one season in the WAC, Lamar returned to the Southland Conference. The Cardinals have played home games in the Montagne Center since 1984. The Lamar University basketball team is one of the school's most storied athletic programs. The Cardinals have competed in NCAA Tournament play eleven times and six times at the NCAA Division I level with the most recent appearance in the 2012 tournament. The 1979–80 team was one of the 1980 tournament's Sweet Sixteen teams. The Cardinals have also competed in four NIT tournaments. Heading into the 2014–2015 season Lamar had a 284–143 record in the Montagne Center. The Cardinals overall record going into the 2014–2015 season was 922–818.

Frank Busch was a collegiate, national team and Olympic swimming coach from the United States best known for coaching the University of Arizona from 1989-2011. He was a coach for the USA Olympic teams in 2004 and 2008.

The 2011–12 Baylor Bears basketball team represented Baylor University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team finished 30–7 overall and 12–6 in Big 12 Conference play to finish in a third-place tie with Iowa State. In postseason play, Baylor lost to Missouri in the 2012 Big 12 men's basketball tournament championship game and Kentucky in the Elite Eight of the 2012 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.

Mike Vaught is a former athletic administrator who previously served as the athletic director at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, being named to the position on October 15, 2014 and resigning on August 12, 2019. He had previously served as deputy athletic director at Southern Methodist University and assistant athletic director at Rice University. Aside from athletic administration, Vaught has been an assistant football coach at University of Arkansas, Missouri State University, Texas State University and the United States Naval Academy. Prior to accepting the position at Grand Canyon, Vaught was the director of corporate sponsorship at AdvoCare.

Ian McCaw is a Canadian-American college athletics administrator. He has served as the athletic director at Liberty University since 2016, when he resigned amid scandal from Baylor University.
