Decksplash is a cancelled skateboarding video game that was being developed by Bossa Studios for Microsoft Windows.
In November 2017, Bossa Studios announced that Decksplash was cancelled after not reaching its intended goal of 100,000 players during a Steam free week.
Decksplash is a team-based skateboarding turf wars video game in which a player controls a physical skateboard without a skater. Players score points by painting the field with their team's colour. The amount of paint a player spreads is dependent on their combo. [1] [2] Combos are determined by any combination of flips, manuals, and grinds. [3]
In January 2017, Bossa Studios announced Decksplash. Rock, Paper, Shotgun compared the game to the likes of Splatoon and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater , [4] while PC Gamer compared it to Rocket League . [1]
In November 2017, Bossa Studios released a free build of the game on Steam. They challenged the community, stating that if 100,000 players downloaded the game during the free week, the game would be released into Steam's early access program, otherwise, the game would be discontinued. [5] [6] A week later, the studio announced the game's cancellation after the player count failed to reach the stated goal. [7] According to PCGamesN only about 36,000 people total tried the game during their free week, with no more than 464 playing it at any given time. [8]
Dead State is a turn-based survival horror role-playing video game developed by DoubleBear Productions and Iron Tower Studio set in a zombie apocalypse scenario. Players are tasked with leading a group of survivors living in a shelter in the fictional town of Splendid, Texas. Dead State was released in December 2014 after having been in Early Access since spring of that year. DoubleBear Productions continued to work on the title and in May 2015 released an "enhanced edition" which changed the name to Dead State: Reanimated.

Bossa Studios Limited is a British video game developer based in London. It is known for its comedic, physics-based games Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread.
Surgeon Simulator is a surgical simulation video game by Tom Jackson, Jack Good, Luke Williams and James Broadley of Bossa Studios. The initial version was created in a 48-hour period for the 2013 Global Game Jam; the developers continued and spent 48 days creating a commercial version. The full version was released via Steam in April 2013, and GOG.com on 10 October 2013 followed by an iPad release on 7 March 2014.
Goat Simulator is a third-person perspective action video game developed and published by Coffee Stain Studios. It was released for Microsoft Windows in April 2014, and ports for Linux and OS X were released in June 2014. Mobile versions for Android and iOS were released in September 2014. Versions for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One were released in April 2015, and for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in August 2015; these ports were developed by Double Eleven. A Nintendo Switch version containing the game and downloadable content was released in January 2019.
American Truck Simulator is a truck simulator game developed and published by SCS Software. It was announced as being in development in September 2013 and unveiled at the E3 2015. It was released on 2 February 2016 for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS. The game is the parallel sequel to Euro Truck Simulator 2, the spiritual successor of 18 Wheels of Steel, and the fifth installment in the Truck Simulator series. Set in a condensed depiction of the United States, the player can drive one of a choice of American-style conventional trucks, visiting various locations across the U.S., picking up a variety of cargos, and delivering them to their destinations.
Unturned is a free-to-play survival game by Smartly Dressed Games, a studio consisting solely of Canadian game designer Nelson Sexton. It was released for Windows, macOS, and Linux in July 2014. Unturned allows players to create custom maps using an in-game editor. Cosmetics and mods can also be created using the game's Unity engine, which allows them to publish creations on the Steam Workshop. A retail version of the game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by 505 Games in November 2020.
Planet Coaster is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments for Windows. It was released worldwide on 17 November 2016. Frontier had previously worked in the amusement park construction and management genre with RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, Thrillville, Thrillville: Off the Rails, and Zoo Tycoon. A version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, known as Planet Coaster: Console Edition, was released worldwide on 10 November 2020. The PlayStation 5 version was released in North America and Australia on 12 November 2020 and in Europe on 19 November 2020. A macOS version, developed by Aspyr, was later released on 17 November 2020 on both Steam and Mac App Store.
tinyBuild Inc. is an American publisher of indie games based in Bellevue, Washington. The company was established by Alex Nichiporchik and Tom Brien in 2011 to expand Brien's game No Time to Explain into a commercial release. Building from the success of the game's Steam release in 2013, tinyBuild partnered with DoubleDutch Games for the development and release of SpeedRunners, which landed tinyBuild further publishing deals. Realm Royale is a free-to-play third-person shooter battle royale game developed by Heroic Leap Games. The game features multiple character classes each with unique abilities. It is a spin-off of the hero shooter Paladins, where it originated as a game mode known as Paladins: Battlegrounds. The game was released for Microsoft Windows via Steam's early access program in June 2018, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released two months later. Realm Royale entered open beta on PS4 and Xbox One on January 22, 2019. On May 24, 2019, the game entered closed beta on Nintendo Switch and went into open beta on June 20, 2019. On August 22, 2022, the game was relaunched and updated as Realm Royale Reforged, marking the first update to the game since February 2020.
GTFO is a first-person shooter cooperative game developed by Swedish indie studio 10 Chambers. GTFO had its initial release on December 9, 2019, for Microsoft Windows, on Steam's Early Access to a positive user reception. The game was officially released two years later, on December 10, 2021, during The Game Awards 2021.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) is a physics-based strategy video game developed and published by Landfall Games. An alpha version of the game was initially released in 2016 to a small audience. The game was released for macOS and Windows in April 2021, for Xbox One in October 2021, for Nintendo Switch in November 2022, and for Playstation 4 in September 2023. It has since received numerous free title updates that have added new content, such as maps and units, in addition to fixing bugs and improving the performance. Versions for Android and iOS are currently in development.
Tracks – The Train Set Game, commonly referred to as Tracks, is an indie simulation video game developed by British indie studio Whoop Games and published by Excalibur Publishing for Microsoft Windows. Originally released onto Itch.io in February 2017, the game was added to Steam's Early Access program in September. Tracks – The Train Set Game sees the player build a wooden toy train track. The video game was fully released on 11 October 2019.
Chivalry 2 is a 2021 multiplayer hack and slash action video game developed by Torn Banner Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive. The sequel to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (2012), the game was released on June 8, 2021, for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S.
Orion: Prelude is a first-person shooter and online cooperative multiplayer game, developed and published by Spiral Game Studios for Microsoft Windows. In the game, armed players work together to defend generators against dinosaurs.
Despite those circumstances, Decksplash utilized interesting and weird controls that previous Bossa Studios titles such as I Am Bread and Surgeon Simulator are famed for and had players riding skateboards that could be flipped, perform grinds and manuals to tie large combos together. The core idea of Decksplash was that the bigger the combo landed, the more of the team's paint coverage is splashed out from the skateboard.
