I Killed the Prom Queen were an Australian metalcore band from Adelaide, formed in 2000. They were prominent in the Australian live music scene and toured the US, Japan and parts of Europe several times. They issued three studio albums: When Goodbye Means Forever... (2003), Music for the Recently Deceased (2006) and Beloved (2014). The latter two albums peaked at #27 and #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart respectively.
Michael Crafter is an Australian singer, songwriter and entertainment manager. His music career began as lead vocalist for I Killed the Prom Queen.
Leaton John Rose is an Australian musician who has played bass guitar for Adelaide-based Metalcore band, I Killed the Prom Queen and alternative rock band, the Hot Lies.
Your Past Comes Back to Haunt You is the second EP released by Australian metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen in 2005. It is also the last album to feature Michael Crafter on vocals, besides the re-issue of Music for the Recently Deceased. The EP features a reworked version of "To Be Sleeping While Still Standing" which was originally done by an earlier band including Crafter and Weinhofen called The Fall of Troy. It also includes three tracks form their first EP, Choose to Love, Live or Die, along with two new songs, "Never Never Land" and "You're Not Worth Saving". Some of its tracks appear on the group's live album CD/DVD, Sleepless Nights and City Lights, which was issued in November 2008.

Jona Weinhofen is an Australian musician. He was the lead guitarist for metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen, and was the rhythm guitarist for British band Bring Me the Horizon, from 2009 to 2013 and the guitarist for Californian band Bleeding Through from 2007 to 2009. In September 2021, he joined Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows alongside Craig Owens.

They are known for their highly personal songs, often dealing with depression, anxiety, death, substance abuse, and suicide, many lyrics stemming from vocalist Joel Birch's past struggles. The Amity Affliction released their latest album, Not Without My Ghosts, on 12 May 2023.

The band was formed in 2008 by frontman Michael Crafter, who is best known as the former lead vocalist of metalcore bands I Killed the Prom Queen, Carpathian and Bury Your Dead. Buried in Verona were an Australian metalcore band from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, formed in 2007. They have released five albums, the most recent being Vultures Above, Lions Below, released in August 2015. In August 2016, UNFD, their signed record company, announced on their Facebook page that the band was breaking up.

I Killed the Prom Queen / Parkway Drive or Split CD is a four-track split extended play released by Australian metalcore bands Parkway Drive and I Killed the Prom Queen in May 2003 on Final Prayer Records. The two tracks by Parkway Drive were later re-released as bonus tracks on the reissue version of their solo EP, Don't Close Your Eyes, in 2006. The group is considered the originators of thugcore music, a subgenre of hardcore punk "full of relentless breakdowns and throwdown-ready posturing". They have toured with Gwar, Hatebreed, and Earth Crisis. They have been cited as an influence by Deez Nuts and Fucked Up.
Heart in Hand were an English band from Bournemouth and Southampton, formed in 2008. Their musical style was a melodic blend of hardcore punk with heavy metal influences, described as both melodic hardcore and metalcore by reviewers. Their first release was the Heart in Hand EP in 2009, followed by 3 studio albums. The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist Charlie Holmes, guitarists Ed Hartwell and Ollie Wilson, bassist Gavin Thane and drummer Sam Brennan.

The band's most notable line-up consisted of Steve Caniglia (vocals), Jamie Calabrese, Michael Chewter, John Horner (bass), Colyn Prater (guitar) and Ben Broadley (guitar). An Evening at Elmwood released a demo and 2 Independent Releases, An Evening at Elmwood (demo), released in 2007, Can You Keep A Secret in 2007 which propelled the band to the top unsigned artist on Myspace Music for 7 consecutive months, and Learn To Breathe in 2008 which was released shortly before disbanding. The band were known for energetic, explosive performances in addition to humorous antics on and off the stage.
