Dehesa Elementary School District is a public school district located in the rural East County area of San Diego County, California, United States. It consists of one school serving grades kindergarten through 8th grade, including TK/EAK. [2]

The superintendent is Bradley Johnson. The district is governed by an elected five-member board. The principal is Jholei Evans.

Dehesa School is a Computer Science Immersion Academy [3] and a "No Excuses University".[ clarification needed ] [4]

The computer science curriculum for grades K-6 is divided into trimesters. The first trimester is Scratch (entry-level coding). The second trimester is robotics building and programming using Lego Mindstorm EV3 Robots. The third trimester is Minecraft coding, where students learn to program using the Java language. The curriculum for 7th and 8th graders focuses on HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and Python using a program called Codesters. Every trimester ends in an "Epic Build" where students showcase their work to their families.

Founded on April 5, 1876, it is one of the oldest school districts in San Diego County. [5]

Santa Susana High School is one of four public high schools located in the Simi Valley Unified School District in Simi Valley, California. Built in 1970, the school campus was originally designed as a junior high campus formerly known as Sequoia Junior High School. High Tech High North County, also known as HTHNC, is a charter school located in San Marcos, California. It is a part of the High Tech High organization. Opening in 2007, with its initial class consisting of only 150 freshmen, the school has since expanded, with more than five hundred and fifty students attending. Each year, there had been a new class added. In the 2008-2009 school year, it was sophomores, in the 2009-2010 school year it was juniors, and in the 2010-2011 school year it became seniors.
