Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) is a school district in San Diego County, California, headquartered in Escondido.

The district includes almost all of Escondido, portions of San Diego, the Harmony Grove census-designated place, and portions of the Elfin Forest and Hidden Meadows CDPs. It has two feeder school districts: Escondido Union Elementary School District and San Pasqual Union Elementary School District. [1]

History

It was established in 1894. [2]

Steve Boyle was superintendent until 2019, when he retired. [3]

Anne Staffieri became the superintendent in 2019. [4] In 2023 she left to become the superintendent of the San Dieguito Union High School District. [5]

Jon Petersen became the superintendent in 2023. [6] Petersen was previously the president of the board of trustees. [7]
